ON-SITE ALTERNATE PROCEDURES
If you an alternate and have not been admitted by late Friday, October 26, then you can be an on-site alternate. Alternates must sign-in at the tournament desk no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event for which they are an alternate. If a default or withdrawal creates a vacancy in the draw, then the alternate who has signed-in and is highest on the alternate list will fill the vacancy.

1. DOUBLES REMINDER: The doubles deadline is October 22.
2. FRIDAY PRACTICE COURTS: There are no reservations and no charge. Simply tell the desk that you are with the tournament.
3. FRIDAY HITTING PROS: Call the Tennis Academy of the South at 404-421-2025 and leave a message.
4. SITES: On Saturday, we will be using two other sites in addition to Hudlow Tennis Center. More information on which group is playing where will be posted the middle of next week. The courts in Atlanta this tournament weekend are exceptionally busy.

RULES:

A 2012 SIGNIFICANT RULE CHANGE---3-MINUTE REST PERIOD-- Posted 10-2
There is NO need to get an umpire. Juniors receive a mandatory 3-minute rest period after the second set when a match-tiebreak is played in lieu of the third set. Coaching is permitted, but the player must stay on the court. After the 3-minute rest period, no further coaching is allowed. If needed, a bathroom break can be taken after the 3-minute rest period. If a player takes a bathroom break during the 3-minute rest period, the player waives the right to further coaching. No coaching is allowed during the bathroom break.

CAUTION: DIRECTIONS TO HUDLOW TENNIS CENTER
Hudlow Tennis Center is about 25 miles north of the airport. It is located off the Jimmy Carter Blvd. exit of I-85 and is about 1.4 miles west of the interstate in Best Friend Park (on the left), not on Best Friend Road!!. Internet/GPS directions to Hudlow Tennis Center are a bit misleading, as is the USTA app. The best bet is to call us when you get in town so we can give you clearer directions. ORDERING ALTERNATE LIST PROCEDURE ---Posted 10-2
1. Use the 9-27 list. Players with 100 or more ranking points on the National Standings List of the division of the event used to select players into the tournamen, shall be listed at the top of the alternate list in the order their names appear on such National Standings List
2. Players not previously selected or listed with 100 or more ranking points on the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament shall be listed in the order their names appear on such National Standings List below the first group of players
3. Players not previously selected or listed shall be listed in the order their names appear on the National Standings List of the division of the event used to select players into the tournament below the second group of players
4. Players not previously selected or listed shall be listed in the order their names appear on the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament below the third group of players.
5. Late entrants shall be listed below timely entrants in the order received. Late entries received at the same time shall be ordered by lot.
