Tournament Dinner
We have made arrangements with Golden Corral to furnish dinner to the tournament participants. Each player will receive two tickets for dinner at Golden Corral to be used on Saturday Feb. 25th. Additional tickes may be purchased from the TD for $10.

Alternates / Withdrawing from the Alternate List
I have ordered the first 50 alternates according to the directions listed below. If your name is not in the first 50 players on the NTC Alternate List the likelyhoold of being called is extremely low.
If you decide to enter another tournament, and you are on any alternate list, you are required to contact the tournament where you are an alternate and withdraw from that tournament. Send an E-mail to the TD. Thank you for your cooperation.

Doubles Selection Process and schedule for Partnership
Selection for Doubles:
1. Both players from Boys 16 singles draw.
2. One player from Boys 16 singles draw and the other not in the draw.
3. Neither player in Boys 16 singles draw.
If more than the maximum number of teams are received, selection order is based on combined standings and combined doubles ranking points of those teams that did not qualified as two players from the singles draw.
We will start Doubles on the first day after two rounds of Main draw singles and one round of consolation. You must have a partner by NOON Sunday February 19th and have confirmed your partnership. Follow the directions below to help you find or confirm a partner. We will not give out individual information or pair players. You must follow the directions or find a partner on your own. Follow the directions to confirm you partnership.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE TO ASK FOR HELP FINDING A PARTNER. THE LAST LIST OF PLAYER LOOKING FOR A PARTNER WILL BE SENT OUT AT 4:30 PM ON Monday FEB. 20TH.

Doubles Instructions
DOUBLES SIGNUP DEADLINE: Noon, Tuesday, February 21th.
Don't wait until the last minute to start looking for a partner. The last list of players looking for a partner will be sent out at 4:30 pm on Monday Feb. 20th.
You must have a doubles partner at the doubles deadline. Please follow the direction listed below to confirm your doubles partnership or obtain contact information for other players who do not have a partner.

Flying to Augusta
If you intend to fly to the tournament, we have a regional airport in Augusta that Delta and US Air have scheduled flight. Other Airports are Columbia, SC 1 hour away Atlanta 2.5 hours away Savannah, GA 2.5 hours away or Charlotte, NC 2.5 hours away.

Player Meeting
We will have a player meeting on Saturday Morning Feb. 25th just prior to the start of play at 8:30AM. All players are encouraged to attend as we will cover items that you will be held accountable for during the tournament.

Selection Process for Alternate list
Ordered Alternate List Each Tournament Committee shall create an Alternate List by ordering the alternates for their site instructed below:
• Players in positions up to 300 from the National Standings List of the division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List
• Players not already placed on the alternate list in positions up to 200 from the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List
• Players not already placed on the alternate list whose names appear on the National Standings List of the division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List
• Players not already placed on the alternate list whose names appear on the National Standings List of the next-younger division used to select players into the tournament in the order in which their names appear on this List
• The remaining entrants (who have no ranking) in an order determined by lot
• Late entrants shall be listed below timely entrants in the order received. Late entries received at the same time shall be ordered by lot. Late entrants are not ordered by position on the National Standings List

Directions to Newman Tennis Center
When coming to Augusta from Columbia, SC along I-20: Exit I-20 at exit 196-A on to I-520. Exit I-520 at exit 2 (Wrightsboro Rd.) Turn left onto Wrightsboro Rd. and follow for two miles. The entrance to NTC is on your left.
When coming from Atlanta, GA along I-20: Exit I-20 at exit 196-A on to I-520. Exit I-520 at exit 2 (Wrightsboro Rd.) Turn left onto Wrightsboro Rd. and follow for two miles. The entrance to NTC is on your left.
When coming from South Georgia entering Augusta along Hwy 25: Turn left on to the on ramp for I-520 West and follow to exit 2 and turn right onto Wrightsboro Rd and follow for two miles. The entrance to NTC is on your left.
Parking: We suggest that you park in the back parking lot. When traveling East on Wrightsboro Rd. pass the main entrance to NTC and then turn left at the next corner (Magnolia ST). At the next corner turn left into the Forest Hill Golf Course drive and then left into the parking lot. The back gate of the tennis center can be reached by navigating through the parking lot.

Dress Code
The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

Withdraw / Draws / First Match times
Draws will be made on Saturday Feb. 18th at Noon.To receive your refund, we must receive your withdraw by e-mail by Noon on Feb. 17th. First Match times will be published on Wed. Feb. 22rd at 5pm. The Draws will be published by 5 PM on Thur. Feb. 23th.

REFUNDS / Withdrawing from Main Draw and Alternate List
If you are withdrawing from the Draw please send an e-mail to the TD ASAP.
If you are on the alternates list and want to enter another tournament you must withdraw from this tournament (this will eilminate parents contacting me about other players that are in two tournaments). If you are on an alternates list your are committed to that tournament, thus you must withdraw.
REFUNDS: If you are in the Draw and withdraw prior to the draw being made (Noon on Friday Feb. 17th) you will receive a full refund. After that time and date there will be no refund. If you are on the alternate list you have not been charged for the tournament.

Match Formats
Main Draw Singles including 3/4 play off: Best of 3 tiebreak sets. FIC: Best of 3 Tiebreak sets with a 10pt Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set.
Doubles: 8 game Pro Set with a 10pt Match Tiebreak at 8 games all.
In the event of inclement weather the format may be altered.

Withdrawing from a match or Tournament/Refund Policy (Weather)
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal emergency. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee at once so that the opponent may be saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date.
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must cover. The tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your understanding.

Singles Seeding Criteria for USTA National Opens and USTA Regional
Seeding shall be done using the most recently published National Standings List of
the division in the order in which players appear.
Tournament Committees shall use the criteria in this table to submit their
proposed seeding to the Director of Junior Competition.
A. Number of Seeds in Singles and Doubles Draws
Draw Size Required Number of Seeds: 32 8 seeds: all seeded numerically
D. Singles Seeding Criteria
• Players who are accepted based on their standing in the next younger age
division may be seeded in the last group of seeds (5-8, 9-16, or 17-32, depending
on the draw size) if they are in the top 50 of the most recently published National
Standings List of the next-younger age division.
• Players from the National Standings List of the division may be moved within
major groups (1-4, 5-8, 9-16, 17-32) due to direct wins if players are separated
by fewer than 100 ranking points.
• Players from the National Standings List of the division may be moved between
major groups due to direct wins if players are separated by fewer than 50 ranking
points.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

4 players are selected for each site from the most recent National Standings List of the next lower age division and 28 players are selected for each site from the age division of the event
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, January 26, 2012 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
