Friday 4:15-5:45 - Pre-Tournanent Drills Friday 5:00-5:45 - Player Check-in Friday 6:00 - Players' Meeting Friday 6:00 - Doubles Entry Deadline Saturday: Doubles first round and possibly quarterfinals for one event (boys or girls)* followed by 2 rounds main draw singles and one round consolation singles possibly followed by doubles quarterfinals of the first singles event scheduled Sunday 7:30 AM: 15-20 minute non-denominational Chapel Service Sunday: Doubles quarterfinals (or semifinals)* followed by 1 round of consolation singles and main draw singles quarterfinals, then a 2nd consolation singles round and main draw singles semifinals. Doubles will end the day. Monday: Doubles Finals* (if not already completed) followed by consolation singles quarterfinals, then singles finals and 3-4 playoffs, and concluding with consolation semifinals. (Consolation finals will not be played (* If we have significant rain early in the day, morning doubles may be postponed until after singles on that day.)

Ground RulesPeachtree City Tennis Center (770-486-9474, ext. 0) is available for practice. Court reservations can be made for Thursday and Friday at $10.00 per hour ($5.00 per 1/2 hr), paid in advance and non-refundable. During tournament play on Saturday and thereafter, covered courts may be reserved, at the same rate. If there is rain, covered courts will be used for match play and court fees will be refunded. Metro Tennis Associates (the tournament) takes authority over the outdoor courts at 6:30 Saturday morning. Practice court reservations for 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30 a.m can be made at the tournament desk the day before. The clay courts can not be used by tournament players before or during the tournament.Warm-up Courts and Hitting Lessons Warm-up Courts before start of the tournament: Warm-up courts can be reserved at the front desk by calling 770.486.9474 ext 0. The cost will be $10.00 per hour ($5.00 per 1/2 hr) per court. During the tournament covered courts are available for warm-ups at the same rate. Hitting Lessons: Pros will be available for hitting lessons during the course of the tournament. Please contact the front desk (770.486.9474 ext 0) to book the lessons. The cost is $50.00/hour and $27.00/ ½ hour. All court bookings and hitting lessons/warm-ups need to be paid in advance - no refunds for cancellations.

Peachtree City is a suburb of Atlanta. It is located approximately 24 miles southwest of Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta Airport. All tournament play will be at Peachtree City Tennis Center. For a Map Click "more info." Street address for the Tennis Center is 10 Planterra Way, Peachtree City, GA 30269, although it may put you at a location about 0.3 mile away. If you approach from Hwy 54, you will get to the tennis center before you get to the GPS location.

Withdrawals
Withdrawals A player shall not withdraw from a tournament except for illness, injury, personal emergency, or previously authorized entry into another tournament. Refunds A player accepted into the main draw of this tournament who subsequently withdraws for any reason will not receive a refund.

3-Minute Coaching Break
In matches playing a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set there will be a 3-minute coaching break between the end of the second set and the match-deciding tiebreak. This 3-minute break is treated the same as the 2-minute set break between first and second sets, except that players may receive coaching on the court. Seeding Method
The Computerized List Method of seeding will be used for the tournament. Refer to Table 18 in 2012 Friend at Court for the seeding criteria.

Scoring Formats
Singles will play the best of 3 Tiebreak Sets with a 10-Point Match Tiebreak in Lieu of a 3rd Set. Doubles will play 8-game pro-sets with 10-pt tiebreak at 8-all.

All players and parents must complete and sign a USTA Release form prior at check-in. If the player is traveling without a parent, parents must send the signed release with the player. Please click "more info" to print a release to send with the player.

Directions from Florida, Macon, and points south (shorter than Interstates)Take I-75 northbound to exit # 205 (GA Hwy 16). Turn left (west toward Griffin). Go approximately 24 miles. On the left will be Pike Academy. Just past that will be a Citgo Station on the left . Turn Right at the Citgo station onto Hwy 85 Connector. Stay on Hwy 85 connector through Brooks approximately 8 miles to the dead end (at Hwy 85). Turn left on Hwy 85 and go less than 1/2 mile to the first traffic light. Turn right at the light onto GA Hwy 74. Go approximatel 7 miles to the intersection with GA Hwy 54 (The Avenue will be on your left.) Turn left onto Hwy 54. Go to the 3rd traffic light (less than 1/2 mile). Turn left at light onto Planterra Way. The tennis Center will be on your left. Total distance is 40 miles. The 2012 USTA Tournament Committee Manual states: "The Tournament Committee shall accept double teams into the doubles event in the following order: 1. All teams comprising two players in the singles draw shall be selected. 2. Teams comprising one player in the singles draw and one player not in the singles draw. If more than the maximum number of entries is received, selection order is based on combined standings and combined doubles ranking points, except that no team comprised of a Late Applicant shall be selected before a team comprised of timely applicants. Tournaments are NOT authorized to expand the draw size in order to accommodate these types of teams. 3. Teams comprising two players not in the singles draw. Missed th
If you failed to enter by the deadline, you can be placed at the bottom of the alternate list. Regardless of your National Standing, you will be placed after all on-time entrants. Because players may indicate willingness to play at up to 4 sites, the number of on-time alternates will be greater than the number of applicants (less the 32 players selected by the entry system). Late applicants will be ordered base on the order of receipt. To be added to the alternate list, email 2012natopen@goodsports.us.

Draws and Ma
Singles Draws will be posted at 9:00 a.m. Friday.. Girls' Doubles will be played a 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Boys Doubles will start at 8:00 a.m., with a few played at 8:45 a.m. Girls' first Singles matches on Saturday will be scheduled to start between 9:30 and 10:45 a.m. Boys' first Singles matches on Saturday will be scheduled to start between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Since all players have entered doubles, the doubles draws will be posted along with the singles draws on Friday morniing

Pre-Tournament
It's still not too late to sign up. Spaces are still available. A 1 1/2 hour drill session that will be held on Friday at 4:15 p.m.-5:45 p.m. at Peachtree City Tennis Center on the tournament courts. The fee is $30.00. To reserve a spot call 770-631-0930 with a Visa or MasterCard. The late registration fee is $33.00 Players participating in the drills may check-in for the tournament when they check-in for drills. Indoor courts are set aside for drills in case of rain, so... Drills will be held RAIN OR SHINE!

Check-in and Players' MeetingTournament Check-in will be Friday May 11, 5:00-5:45 p.m. at Peachtree City Tennis Center. A 15-20 minute players' meeting will be held at 6:00. Players unable to attend must come to Peachtree City Tennis Center at least 45 minutes before their first match on Saturday to check in.

On-site Singles Alternate ProceduresGirls' On-site Alternate Match Check-in Deadline is Saturday 9:15 AM. Boys' On-site Alternate Match Check-in Deadline is Saturday 10:45 AM If you are on the alternate list, but have not been admitted by late Friday, May 11, you can be an on-site alternate at Peachtree City Tennis Center. Alternates must sign in by the check-in deadline at the tournament desk. If a default or withdrawal creates a vacancy in the draw, the alternate who has signed in and is highest on the alternate list will fill the vacancy. Alternates may play doubles even if they are not admitted to singles. ...Any alternate desiring admittance must check in and be ready for play no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of the event for which they are an alternate. The order of the alternates is based on the original Alternate List published by the tournament, not a more recent National Standings List, and not in the order in which the players check in.
