Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees and
asylees; Junior players residing in Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin
Islands, Samoa or Guam and Canadian residents of British Columbia.
You may be asked for proof of status. Refer to USTA Regulation

CHAMPIONSHIPS COOPER TENNIS COMPLEX May 17-21, 2003 Updated:
4/03/03 Dates: May 17-21, 2003 at the Cooper Tennis Complex. The
championship will begin on Saturday and conclude on Wednesday. All
finals are tentatively scheduled for play on Wednesday, May 21,
2003. This includes 3rd place and the consolation finals.

outdoor hard courts Entry Fees: $75.00 for singles and doubles
Check In: Friday May 16, 5:00pm-6:30pm CST at the Cooper Tennis
Complex. A brief mandatory meeting for all players will be held at
the close of check-in (6:30pm CST). Player Meeting: Friday, May 16;
6:30pm (mandatory); No draw times will be given out before this
meeting Pre-Drill Session: Click on the Tournament Website link
above to register online for the pre-drill session. The online cost
for the drill session will be $15.00; online registration will
close on May 9, 2003. Providing there is space available, players
may sign-up at registration for $20.00. The Pre-Drill Session will
begin at 7:30pm at the Cooper Tennis Complex. The purpose of the
Pre-Drill session is to socialize with other players and allow
players an opportunity to get comfortable with the playing
environment Schedule of Play: Matches will begin at 9:00am Saturday
May 17th. Both singles and doubles are planned to begin this day.
Doubles sign-in will end at 8:30pm on Friday, May 16, 2003
(immediately following the pre-drill session). Doubles: If you plan
to play doubles you may indicate this on your entry or at the
mandatory check in on May 16th. If you do not have a partner, the
tournament will try to assist you. There will be a sign-up for
those players requesting a partner on the night of check-in. All
players requesting partners must respect their pairings. Official
Ball: Wilson USOPEN (extra duty; hard court) PracticeCourts: Prior
to the tournament, outdoor tennis courts will be available for
practice at the Cooper Tennis Complex on a first come first serve
basis with a one (1) hour limit (no court fee to players). During
the tournament, practice courts will be available at other
satellite park locations on a first come, first serve basis. Host
Hotel: Clarion Hotel, 3333 S. Glenstone, 417/883-6550. The hotel is
about 15-20 minutes from the Cooper Tennis Complex. When making
reservations identify yourself with the USTA Boys and Girls 12's
National Open Championship. The room rate is $54.00 plus tax per
night, up to 4 people per room. The Clarion provides a free shuttle
to and from the Branson-Springfield Regional Airport upon request.
Olive Garden, Applebees, Fridays, Cheddars, and the Battlefield
Mall are all located within walking distance from the hotel.
