Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees and
asylees; Junior players residing in Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin
Islands, Samoa or Guam and Canadian residents of British Columbia.

III.A.2.a.

There will be a Players Meeting Wednesday night, November 26th, from 8:00 - 8:30 p.m. at The Longfellow Club in Wayland. The doubles draw will be closed at the end of the meeting.

The host hotel for the tournament is the MARRIOTT HOTEL in Newton, MA. (800) 228-9290. $85/night/room flat rate. Reserve by Friday, November 14th. Identify yourself with the USTA Boys 16 National Open Tournament.

Match Format: Singles - 3 Tiebreak sets, Doubles - 8 game pro set, w/ 10 point Match Tiebreak at 8 games all.

Match Schedule: Singles begins Thursday, November 27th at 8:00 am (2 rounds). Doubles begins Friday, November 28th (2 rounds). Consolation Singles (full feed-in) begins Thursday, November 27th (1 round).

A maximum of 2 rounds of Championship Singles will be scheduled each day. However, players also entered in doubles must be prepared to play four matches each day (two singles & two doubles).

Practice courts can be reserved for $30/hour at both The Longfellow Club & the Natick Racquet Club on Tuesday & Wednesday before the tournament from 6 a.m. to 11 pm. Reservations are limited to 1 hour on Wednesday to accommodate all players.

Players are selected from a designated Section or District ranking list.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Friday, October 31, 2003 12 Noon Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
