THIS TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED OUTDOORS, WEATHER PERMITTING. First Match Times can be viewed by clicking on the above link. Please note that this tournament will be played outdoors, weather permitting. Free outdoor practice courts will be available Saturday and Sunday morning from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., and then afterwards as available. Indoor courts cannot be reserved, but can be purchased as available for $10.00 per hour. Draws will be posted on this site by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25.

Penalty for Multiple Tournament Entries
The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect for this tournament, and players are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. Players will be assessed five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each tournament director agrees to the multiple entries in writing via e-mail.

Miscellaneous Tournament Information
Players are limited to playing in one event only for this tournament. Draws may be limited depending on the number of entrants. If a player is not accepted into the tournament he/she will be notified by the end of the day on Tuesday, September 23. Depending on the number of entries and the size of the draws, some matches may be scheduled for Friday, September 26. Friday night matches will not start before 5:00 p.m., but players must be available to play on Friday if scheduled. FIRST MATCH TIMES will be posted on this site and at the tennis center by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24. DRAWS will be posted on this site and at the tennis center by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25. SCORING FORMAT will be two out of three sets with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of a full third set. FIRST MATCH CONSOLATION draw format – players who lose their first match will be entered into the consolation draw. Players are expected to play and complete all scheduled matches. USTA OFFICIALS will be on site throughout the tournament, and the USTA Point Penalty System is in effect. This includes being late for a match. Please give yourself adequate travel time – there is no grace period for lateness.

The Holiday Inn of Midland is the host hotel for this tournament and is conveniently located one mile from the tennis center. The special rate of $68.00 (plus 8% tax) per night includes a hot breakfast for two (coupons issued upon check-in). For reservations, please call (989) 631-4220 and give the Group Code for this tournament, JUN. The block of rooms for this tournament will be released approximately four weeks prior to the start of the tournament. TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWALS
ALL withdrawal requests must be sent in writing to Wendy Franz at franz@midlandtennis.com. Requests must include player name, USTA number, a detailed reason for the withdrawal, mailing address, and phone number. Early withdrawals (for a bona fide reason) will be issued a refund check after the tournament is completed. No refunds will be made, for any reason, for withdrawals received after Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Players who need to withdraw PRIOR to the entry deadline should do so on this Tennislink tournament site (Edit Registration).

LATE ENTRIES
If the draws have not been done, late entries may be accepted if there is room in the tournament. There is a $5.00 processing fee in addition to the entry fee for all late entries. Please e-mail or call the tournament director at 989-631-6151 or franz@midlandtennis.com.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, September 22, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
