FINAL MATCH TIMES HAVE CHANGED. OPEN LEVELS TIMES MAY CHANGE LATER TONITE
All match times for divisions other than Men's Open have been revised as of 9:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6th due to scheduling conflicts. Please review your match times and remember to SET YOUR CLOCKS BACK ONE HOUR TONIGHT!
Men's Open players are currently still on court and their match times may be revised later this evening to accommodate those that advance to Championship play on Sunday.
READ ALL ROUNDS FOR MATCH TIMES, ROUND 2 BEFORE ROUND 1 IN FEW CASES
In some cases round 2 may be scheduled before round 1, or round 3 scheduled before round 2 etc This was necessary because of the numerous scheduling conflicts with players in more than one event. We also are receiving withdrawals and as I move the next highest ranked player into your event, the match times may have to change to accommodate the new player(s) as they may be playing in another Masters tournament event. RE-CHECK YOUR DRAWS OFTEN:
Players: Please be sure to re-check your draws often and check the times for each round of your round robin

WHAT TO DO IF THE TOURNAMENT HAS INCLEMENT WEATHER :-(
While rain is not currently in the forecast for our 2010 Masters tourney, this information will help you in the event it does occur. I routinely (every 45 minutes to 1 hour) update this website with details about rain delays, and when play is anticipated to resume. If you do not have internet access readily available to you, your hotels generally do in their business centers. Please use their internet services to access our tournament homepage to look for answers with regard to rain delays, if we have any. This will help you know when to return to your site for match play and help the tournament run more smoothly by reducing unnecessary phone calls. You may also call the CATA office for updates at 512 443-1342. Our office voice mail will have updates for your as well. However, this is more difficult to stay on top of so your most up-to-date info can be found by using our tourney homepage.

SELECTION LIST PUBLISHED - 9/16/2010
The list for deciding the "top 8 who enter" has now been published.
The direct link is below (more info) - and is named "2010 Texas Selection List (Sep).
However, please remember that even if you are not in the top 8 of the Rankings, you still have a great chance of getting in, if others above you are not eligible or do not enter by the deadline. (And, as always, NO LATE ENTRIES will be allowed!!)
See the rules below. To be eligible for this tournament in a levels division, you will need to have an "End of Year" rating. The only exception is in the 2.5 division.
You can't play unless you enter, and credit cards will not be charged if you are not selected, so
ENTER NOW! !
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Best of 3 tie-break sets with a 10-point
match tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set; NOTE: FINALS WILL BE PLAYED
AS BEST OF 3 TIE-BREAK SETS.
2010 RULES AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Top 8 ranked players from each division will be selected
based on the 2010 Selection List rankings. This list will
include the prior 12 months calculated to include the adult
sanctioned tournaments played Sept. 16, 2009 through Sept. 15,
2010; excluding the Simply the BEST - 2009
Texas Adult Masters Championships tournament; but will include
the 2010 Texas Adult Sectionals scheduled for Sept. 10 - 12,
2. Players must enter online and must enter prior to the
entry deadline to be eligible for this tournament. All players may
enter, but only the top 8 eligible and selected applicants will be
charged the entry fee.
3. If there is a tie in points, it will be broken first by
second, by the best win/loss ratio of matches actually
third, by the highest point win in a single tournament.
The Tournament Committee shall then use a random drawing among the
remaining tied players to determine their order of entry.
4. Doubles are ranked individually and the top 8 players
(who enter) can pick and choose a partner. That chosen partner must
have played in at least 1 Texas Section sanctioned tournament
within the 12 month ranking year and played the level in which they
are entering/have entered. However, they are not required to have
played with that partner in a Texas Section sanctioned tournament.
(Self Rated rules will apply to both partners.)
5. Self Rated players will not be eligible to play and must
have a Year End Rating to be eligible for this tournament. THE
ONLY EXCEPTION IS OUR 2.5 DIVISION, who had to self-rate to
begin playing. The Tournament Committee has the right to disqualify
any that are playing outside that level.
6. The Open divisions will no longer have prize money.
7. Each division will be a round robin (pool/play). That is,
each division will be divided by ranking position into two groups
of four, to play a round robin. Winners of each pool, within each
division, then compete for the Championship.
8. All matches, excluding FINALS, will consist of best 2 out
of 3 sets with a match tie-break to determine the 3rd set. FINALS
ONLY WILL BE PLAYED AS BEST OF 3 TIE-BREAK SETS.
