QUALIFYING/HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS
Each district in the Midwest has a qualifying tournament. Each
player has to play in their district qualifier event in order to
play in the Midwest Closed. Each district has quota spots that
reserve a certain number in the draw for that district. The quota
spots are determined by junior membership in the district. The
district decides how their quota spots are to be filled. Each
district has a boys and girls endorser. The endorser is responsible
for turning the endorsed players into the sectional office. The
players on the list are the ones to get into the tournament. If a
player is not endorsed by their district, he/she will NOT get into
the tournament no matter their ranking. Please talk to your
district endorsers about this process.
PLAYER SELECTION & ALTERNATES
Player Selection (Competitors/Players By Event) and Numbered
Alternate Listing will be posted on this tournament page by 6pm on
the Monday following the tournament entry deadline. The alternate
list will be posted in numerical order at the top above the level
of the tournament. All districts turn in alternates as well as the
players who meet the criteria to be in one of the quota spots. All
the alternates turned in by the district endorsers are pooled
together. The alternates are in numerical order by their
ranking.
