USTA National Championships Selection Process |
The selection processes for the National Clay Court Championships, National Championships, National Indoor, and National Winter
Championships are listed below. Please scroll down to view the selection process you are interested in.

National Clay Court Championships and National Championships |
The TennisLink selection program shall accept players into National Clay Court Championships in the following order: |
- Players on the Direct Acceptance List for USTA National Clay Court Championships in the 18, 16, and 14 Divisions Only.
- 18 Division- Up to 32 players shall be accepted in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 16 Division- Up to 16 players shall be accepted in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 14 Division- Up to 16 players shall be accepted in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- Players on the National Qualifier List. Up to 8 players who are the finalists of the previous National L2 tournaments.
- Players within Sectional Associations' Quotas. Junior players not previously selected who are on the Sectional endorsement
lists, within the established Sectional quota, and who have submitted timely entries shall be accepted in the order
determined by the Sectional Endorser.
- Endorsed Players on National Standings List not previously selected shall be selected in the following order:
- 18 Division – 42 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 16 Division – 58 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 14 Division – 46 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 12 Division – 10 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- The Selection Process shall fill remaining vacancies in the draw, except for those reserved for Wild Cards, with endorsed
players who have submitted timely entries and appear on the most recently published National Standings List.
- Wild Cards. The Tournament Committee shall accept those junior players granted Wild Cards by the USTA Wild Card Committee.
Wild Card recipients do not need Sectional endorsement and timely online entry is not required.

National Indoor Championships |
The TennisLink selection program shall accept players into the National indoor Championships in the following order: |
- Players on National Standings List shall be selected in the following order (Section endorsement not required):
- 18 Division – 33 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 16 Division – 33 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 14 Division – 33 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- 12 Division – 33 players shall be selected in the order in which their names appear on the list.
- Players within Sectional Associations' Quotas. Junior players not previously selected who are on the Sectional endorsement
lists, within the established Sectional quota, and who have submitted timely entries shall be accepted in the order
determined by the Sectional Endorser.
