Thank you for playing in the Arlington Tennis Center ZAT July 11-12. We truly enjoyed your participation in the tournament, and we hope you had a great time. Sunday results are posted, and final results have been reported to local newspapers.

Congratulations to B18 Jeremy Jones of Justin, Texas, for being selected to receive the outstanding Sportsmanship award! Jeremy displayed a great attitude on and off the court toward his own game, his opponents, the officials and the tournament staff. Jeremy received a Texas-shaped acrylic award from Arlington Tennis Center, and ... a free tennis camp at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels, Texas!

Updated draws for this event have been posted. Please note site abbreviations carefully. Some matches will change location between rounds. In some draws, first round matches selected at random may be played at locations that vary from the rest of the draw. If in doubt, email atc@arlingtontx.gov to confirm your site. Important note about McLeland Tennis Center: This site became unavailable as of Tuesday afternoon (after draws were posted). • Arlington Tennis Center is the Headquarters for this tournament.
• Players do not need to come to ATC unless they play at ATC ... just check in at the match site for each match, at least 15 minutes early.
• Matches will be played at other locations, including local high schools, the University of Texas at Arlington, other tennis facilities and private clubs.
• Draws will indicate location.
• Warm up courts will NOT be available at match locations.

The bridge as Collins St. and I-30 is scheduled to be shut down at 5:00 AM on Thursday, July 9. Please plan your travel around this road block. more info

This tournament is for all non-qualified Texas resident junior players and Championship level junior players who are in their LAST TWO MONTHS of age eligibility. Players may only compete in one ZAT per month. Players may compete in only one event (Singles only).

• Before you enter the tournament, PLEASE CHECK YOUR USTA MEMBER INFORMATION. Your USTA membership info is the official data downloaded and used by the tournament staff.
• Check that your USTA membership is current, your address and TELEPHONE NUMBERS are correct and that you have LISTED ALTERNATE (work and/or mobile) PHONE NUMBERS.
• Junior players should also enter phone numbers and email addresses for each tournament entered (and for each player if more than one child in a family is entered).

• All players must enter this event on-line through the USTA's TennisLink registration system.
• Players will receive a confirmation at the end of their on-line registration process.
• All issues with on-line registration should be directed to linkteam@usta.com.
• Junior players should also enter phone numbers and email addresses for each tournament entered (and for each player if more than one child in a family is entered).

• Players who enter on-line will appear on the list of Applicants.
• If you withdraw after the deadline (but before the draws are posted), your name WILL STILL APPEAR on the Applicant list. We cannot remove your name from the Applicant list after the deadline.
• After the deadline (within 24 hours), the Competitor list will reflect players who are entered in the tournament.
• IF YOU DO NOT SEE YOUR NAME ON THE APPLICANT LIST WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF YOUR REGISTRATION, EMAIL LINKTEAM@USTA.COM.

• Format for all ZATs in B&G 12-18s is best of three sets, no ad scoring, with a 10-point match tie-break for third set.
• Format for B&G 10s will be no ad scoring, 8-game prosets, with a tie-break at 8 games all.
• First Match Loser Consolation is required (no round robins).
• Players should not come off the court if they split sets. Players should take a set break, and then begin the 10-point match tiebreak.

• Maximum draw sizes is 32 for B&G 12-18s, and 16 for B&G 10s.
• Seeding includes ZAT Standings List, Championship Preliminary Ranking List for players who are re-qualifying, entrants report for players who have just aged up and head-to-head records.
• If age divisions have more than one draw (e.g., Red, White, Blue), seeds are distributed evenly throughout the draws.
• Draws are computerized, but an effort will be made to separate players in the first round who are from the same town (when possible).
• Draws will be posted Tuesday, July 7, by 8:00 AM.

• Substitutions are not allowed in Singles.
• Waiting lists are not allowed for ZATs.

• Players who qualify may enter the first Championship Major Zone scheduled in the month after qualifying.
• This regulation does not apply to regular tournaments offering a Championship event.
• To enter an "other" tournament (not a Major Zone or Sectionals), entries must be submitted and the entry fee received by the tournament deadline.

• All officials for the Arlington Tennis Center ZAT USTA certified officials.
• The tournament referee is Randall Edwards.
• The USTA Code of Conduct and Point Penalty System will be strictly enforced.
• Remember, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD REGARDING LATENESS, INCLUDING FOR FIRST ROUND MATCHES.
• If you have issues on court than cannot be resolved, GET AN OFFICIAL.

• The deadline for this tournament is June 28, 11:59 PM.
• Late entries will not be accepted.
• Once the deadline passes, the Competitive Department begins review of the draws, and players may not be added, which means the deadline is firm.
• Please do not wait until the last minute to enter.

The official tournament balls are Penn Championship Yellow Extra Duty. A new can of balls will be distributed for each match. No new balls are distributed for the match tie-breaks (third set).

Players must check in with the site directors at the scheduled sites for EACH MATCH at least 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled match times. When players check in, they should give the site director a cell phone number at which they can be reached during the tournament (e.g., parent). Remember, players must check themselves in for matches (not parents, coaches, etc.).

• Rain delay information will also be posted on this website.
• Divisions that begin play will not be refunded, including players affected by defaults or byes.
• Regardless of rain, players are asked to be prepared to play.
• Out of consideration for opponents and tournament staff, please do not "no show" or assume play is cancelled. Penalties will apply for no shows.

• Withdrawals will be reflected on-line through 4:00 PM, Friday, July 10.
• LATE WITHDRAWALS MAY NOT BE POSTED ON-LINE. We will attempt to contact opponents, but we may not be able to do so in every situation, particularly regarding withdrawals late Friday or early Saturday.
• If withdrawing late (after 4:00 PM Friday), please be considerate of opponents and notify ATC in writing AND via phone BEFORE the tournament begins Saturday morning, as email may not be read "instantly" late Friday, early Saturday or once it begins.
• If withdrawing after 7:00 AM Saturday or once the tournament begins, you MUST email atc@arlingtontx.gov AND call ATC at 817-459-6163 to speak with the Referee. Do not leave a withdrawal message with tournament staff.

• TennisLink will credit the credit card used for registration if the withdrawal is done on line before the deadline.
• Withdrawals may not be done on line after the deadline.
• Withdrawals after the deadline must be submitted to atc@arlingtontx.gov. The player's name will still appear on the Applicant list (which is locked after the deadline), but will be removed from the Competitor list.
• The tournament staff does not have access to the credit card information used for registration. Refunds after the deadline (and when eligible) will be via check and may take several weeks to receive.
• Refunds are not made for withdrawals one week or less before the start of the tournament.

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and Consolation in each draw for Boys' and Girls' 10-18s. All players in B&G 10s will receive a certificate of participation. One player will also be selected who exhibits outstanding Sportsmanship throughout the tournament, both on and off the court. The Sportsmanship award is a scholarship to attend a camp at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch.

Arlington Tennis Center is pleased to provide free wireless Internet to our guests.

ATC’s stringing staff is among the most experienced in our area, and we will offer 24-hour service for tournament players during the two-day event. In addition, demo racquets are available for a small fee.

• Spectators are not allowed on courts at any time.
• No pets are allowed in the ATC proshop/building or inside the fenced area around the courts.
• Smoking is not allowed in the proshop/building or inside fenced areas.
• Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the property (including the parking lot).

Water coolers are not on placed on ATC courts. However, free cups, are available in the proshop, and a commercial ice machine and water fountain are located on the west patio. In addition, players are welcome to purchase bottled water, fountain drinks, sports drinks and juices in the proshop. Players may also bring their own water jugs on court. Alternates sites may not have water on the courts. Please be prepared and bring your own water to your match.

Please note that players may NOT use cell phones on court or in the Tournament room. Please turn them OFF. Spectators who use cell phones around the courts either at ATC or at alternate sites should be mindful of whether their conversations interfere with tournament play (in which case, they will be asked to leave the area or turn the phone off) or normal business operations at ATC. Thank you for your cooperation.

• We ask that all players and spectators at ATC wear traditional attire appropriate for a family tennis environment.
• All guests (players and spectators) are required to wear shirts (including ladies wearing shirts over sports bras), and no bare stomachs / abdomens.
• Shorts and skirts should be of an appropriate length, as well.
• Thank you for your cooperation.

Personal videotaping and photography is not allowed, except parents/guardians who are videotaping their own child from a non-distracting position off court. The umpire may direct the videotaping or photography to stop if it is determined by the official as interfering or distracting to either player.
