Players must check-in with the Tournament Desk at least 15 minutes prior to their first scheduled match time. Don't be late. There is no grace period. Also, please click on the link above "Player Information" and print a copy of the player information sheet to help famiarize yourself with the tennis center and the details specific to this tournament. To help with travel and hotel arrangements, Sunday matches will not start before 10:00 a.m. Thank you.

For USTA/Midwest Points Per Round ranking purposes, this is a Sectional Level 6 tournament.

Miscellaneous Tournament Information
Players are limited to playing in one event only for this tournament. Depending on the number of entrants, some draws for this tournament may be limited. If a player is not accepted into the tournament he/she will be notified by the end of the day on Tuesday, April 8. Depending on the number of entries and the size of the draws, some matches may be scheduled for Friday, April 11. Friday night matches will not start before 5:00 p.m., but players must be available to play on Friday if scheduled. FIRST MATCH TIMES will be posted on this site and at the tennis center by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9. DRAWS will be posted on this site and at the tennis center by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. SCORING FORMAT will be two out of three sets with a 10-point tiebreak in lieu of a full third set. FIRST MATCH CONSOLATION draw format – players who lose their first match will be entered into the consolation draw. Players are expected to play and complete all scheduled matches. USTA OFFICIALS will be on site throughout the tournament, and the USTA Point Penalty System is in effect. This includes being late for a match. Please give yourself adequate travel time – there is no grace period for lateness.

TOURNAMENT WITHDRAWALS
Players who need to withdraw from the tournament PRIOR to the entry deadline need to complete the withdrawal process on the Tennislink registration site. Tournament withdrawals AFTER the entry deadline must be directed to Wendy Franz, Tournament Director, at 989-631-6151 or franz@midlandtennis.com. There are no refunds for withdrawals made after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2008.

LATE ENTRIES
If a late entry is accepted, there will be a $5.00 processing fee in addition to the entry fee.

Host Hotel – Holiday Inn
The Holiday Inn of Midland is the host hotel for this tournament and is conveniently located one mile from the tennis center. The special rate of $68.00 (plus tax) per night includes a hot breakfast for two (coupons issued upon check-in). For reservations, please call (989) 631-4220 or click on the hotel link below. The Group Code for this tournament is JSO. The block of rooms for this tournament will be released approximately two weeks prior to the arrival date. After that time, the hotel will accept reservations at the tournament rate only as availability permits. Penalty for Multiple Tournament Entries
The USTA Code of Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect for this tournament, and players are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. Players will be assessed five (5) suspension points for entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time, in whole or in part, unless each tournament director agrees to the multiple entries in writing via e-mail.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, April 7, 2008 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
