THANK YOU!
With unbelievably beautiful weather and great tennis, this year's Babolat World Tennis Classic proved once again, that if you couldn't be in Melbourne, Australia enjoying the Aussie Open, that the place for tennis the last week in January is Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA. The tournament's signature parties and an educational seminar hosted by Stryker (featuring Johnny Bench speaking about joint replacement) helped create an event atmosphere over and beyond the tennis. Thanks to all of you who came from near and far for your outstanding play and a “vibe” that makes this tournament worth all of the hard work and effort. Our thanks also go out to our volunteer staff who help pack our great gift bags, record scores and generally provide outstanding customer service to players and spectators alike. Finally, our thanks to our primary sponsors - Babolat, I-10 Toyota, Buy.com, LU Biscuits and Stryker Orthopaedics as well as our product sponsors – Maui Jim, Raw Revolution, KJJZ radio, Nuun, Tennis View magazine and the BNP Paribas Open. We ask that you support these sponsors when you have a choice and if you really want to ensure they are sponsors once again, drop us a note and we'll let you know who to contact. We look forward to seeing all of you again next year (along with some of your friends!). ------ All the best of health, peace and happiness --- Ed & Jayne

SCHEDULING
Those of you who entered two different age group events may find that you are playing back-to-back matches. While we try to give players adequate break time between matches sometimes it is impossible to do so. "Friends At Court" stipulates that if you do play two different age groups the maximum amount of rest time between matches is 30 minutes.
|
COMAN TIEBREAK
As we have done over the past number of years, the Coman Tiebreak will be used. For those of you unfamiliar with this tiebreak, click on the link above entitled Coman Tiebreak for a full explanation.
|
WARM-UP TIME
At Mission Hills, a 7-minute warm-up time for all matches other than first matches of the day (15 minutes), will be strictly enforced. Matches played off-site should adhere to this rule as well, especially since some of you may play a second following match at another facility requiring some travel time.
|
WITHDRAWALS/WALK-OVERS
Please check your draw to make sure your opponent has not withdrawn. We will do our best to notify players when their opponents have notified us to withdraw/default but it is also helpful to check the draw prior to your match.
