!!!!!!ALL THURSDAY MATCHES ARE CANCELLED!!!! PLAY WILL RESUME AT 9AM, SATURDAY. UPON RESUMPTION OF PLAY, ALL DOUBLES MATCHES WILL BE AN 8 GAME PRO-SET, COMAN TIE BREAK AT 8 ALL. MAIN DRAW SINGLES MATCHES (SEMI FINAL OR FINAL) WILL BE THE BEST OF THREE TIE-BREAK SETS. CONSOLATION SINGLES SEMI FINALS WILL BE 8 GAME PRO-SET. fINALS WILL BE BEST OF THREE TIE- BREAK SETS.
WE INTEND TO SCHEDULE THREE FATHER/SON ROUNDS FOR EACH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. GRANDFATHER/GRANDSON MAIN DRAW WILL PLAY TWO ROUNDS BOTH SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.
MEN'S AND WOMEN'S 40'S DOUBLES WILL BE 8 GAME PRO-SETS EXCEPT FOR THE FINALS, WHICH WILL BE BEST OF THREE TIE-BREAK SETS.
DON'T FORGET THE DINNER PART TONIGHT AT THE BEACH AND TENNIS CLUB, 6:00PM IN THE WALNUT ROOM.

Looking For A Partner
Players looking for a doubles partner should contact the Tournament Director no later than the entry deadline to obtain names and contact information of other competitors in need of a partner.

Practice Courts
Practice courts are available daily at The La Jolla Tennis Club, a public facility located 1.5 miles from the Beach Club on Draper Street in downtown La Jolla.
Two courts are available at the Beach Club for Warm Up and may be reserved in 15 minute increments.

Lodging
Players are eligible for discounted room rates at both The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club as well as The La Jolla Shores Hotel during the tournament. Reservations may be made by calling 800-624-2582. The Reservations Office canl also provide information about more economical lodging within 15 minutes of the club.

Transportation
A discounted shuttle service rate of $18.75 per person is available for travel between the San Diego airport and the club. The discount aplies to those who use CLOUD NINE SHUTTLE only.

Social Events
A complimentary Gala Cocktail Reception takes place Friday evening in the Walnut Lounge.
Wednesday evening features a Player Party.
Happy Hours are held 4:00-7:00pm Monday Tuesday, and Thursday.

Consolation Events
Entry fees include automatic entry into the consolation events associated with each main event.
Mens & Womens singles & doubles use a Feed In format while Father & Son Doubles is a first match loser format.

Prize Money
Prize money will be distributed to the Winner, Finalist, and 3rd Place Finisher in each event.
|
|
Awards
USTA Gold, Silver, and Bronze balls will be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers in all national championship events. Engraved trays will be given to fourth thru sixth places.
|
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, November 9, 2007 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
