I want to personally thank everyone who played as well as who watched the Midlands Adult Tennis Tournament this year. We were blessed with good weather this year and hope for more of the same for next year. I hope everyone enjoyed the Taco bar provide by Pancheros. I think that will be a staple for next year as well. If you thought Midlands Adult was the best Iowa adult tournament of the year please email the ITA Awards Committee at iccarney@yahoo.com and let them know as well as reasons why you thought we ran a good tournament. SINGLES: Men’s Open Division

Starts Friday 3pm

All other Men’s Divisions

Starts early Saturday morning (please look at draw for match times)

All Women’s Divisions

Starts Saturday midmorning (please look at draw for match times)

First Match Loss Consolation

2 out of 3 sets with match tie-break for 3^rd set

DOUBLES: Starts Saturday afternoon for all divisions

No consolation

MIXED: Starts Friday 5pm

DRAWS: All draws for all divisions will be posted Thursday morning August 14^th.

Seeds will be determined based on emails with seeding info as well as past tournament performances. If emailing seeding info please include match opponents NOT merely your result in the tournament.

T-SHIRT: Will be given to all singles entrants or two doubles entrants.

BALL: Official tournament ball will be the Wilson US Open ball.

Code of Conduct: Tournament officials will be roaming most sites and will be enforcing “the Code”. Please behave accordingly.

Player Taco Party!!

There will be a player party on Saturday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 with chips and tacos sponsored by Pancheros Mexican Grill. The party will be held at the outdoor deck of Klotz Tennis Courts. Thank you to the Anderson Family for providing this party.

Inclement Weather

If matches would be forced to be played inside the cost of the $14 courts will be split amongst the players for that match. Indoor facilities would include Hawkeye Tennis Center, North Dodge Athletic Club, and possibly Clark Racquet Center (Coe College) as well as Westfield Tennis Club.

Player Selection Type

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.

Entry Type

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, August 13, 2008 6:00:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
