Important Notes and Playing Format
This is a Level 4 Intermountain Tournament AND a USTA National Level 4 Tournament. To create a better competitive experience for all players competing, Boys & Girls 12 & Under and 14 & Under singles draws have been limited to the 32 highest ranked players to enter each event. All singles will use 32-player compass draw formats, which guarantee each player in the draw an opportunity to compete in a minimum of 4 matches. All doubles draws will be first match consolation, guaranteeing each doubles team two matches.
ALL USTA INTERMOUNTAIN LEVEL 4 SUMMER MASTERS MAIN DRAW SINGLES MATCHES WILL BE BEST OF 3 TIE-BREAK SETS, REGULAR SCORING. ALL SINGLES CONSOLATION MATCHES WILL BE BEST OF 3 TIE-BREAK SETS WITH A 10 POINT TIEBREAK IN LIEU OF THE 3RD SET. ALL DOUBLES MATCHES (INCLUDING THE FINALS!) WILL BE PLAYED USING AN 8 GAME PRO SET FORMAT WITH REGULAR SCORING AND A 7 POINT TIE BREAKER AT 8 GAMES ALL. You are not required to play both singles and doubles. However, if you want to play doubles, YOU MUST REGISTER IN THE SAME AGE GROUP AS THE SINGLES DIVISION YOU ARE COMPETING IN. DUE TO THE SIZE OF THIS EVENT AND THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE COMING FROM OUT OF STATE, TIME AVOIDANCE REQUESTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. With respect to return flights, people making travel arrangements should schedule their return to ensure that they will complete all rounds of play. All tournament play will be completed by late afternoon on Sunday , AUGUST 12.
