Notes
Sunday May 28 - 2 PM
Beautiful day for tennis! We had a great second-finals day with
perfect weather, and tons of 3-set matches! We're finishing up our
last match of the day (the men's 4.0 at 2:30 unfortunately had a
walkover due to injury). For the matches being played offsite,
please make sure you contact me for balls/trophies if you have not
yet done so!
Thank you to everyone for a fantastic tournament - and especially
thanks to the Boulder Tennis Association's Tournament Committee for
putting this on!
Thank you as well to all of our sponsors!

Without everyone, we could not make this as successful a tournament
as it has been!
And finally - if you lost something at the tournament, please
email me before the end of June with a description of the item.
Anything not claimed by the end of June will be donated!
Saturday May 27 - 4 PM
Good afternoon everyone! I have scores in for matches which were
played this morning and completed offsite - thank you for being
flexible! We have a few matches scheduled for tomorrow, but I
cannot update the schedule (as the tournament dates only went to

Saturday May 27 - 11:30 AM UPDATE- RAINOUT! NO MATCHES REST OF
DAY UNLESS SCHEDULED INDOORS!
Courts will not dry soon, massive rain and puddles. If you have
indoor matches, great - otherwise, I will contact you with new
matches. We have courts all day SUNDAY.
Saturday May 27 - 8 AM
Good morning! We're onsite, and we have a mix of sun, cloud, and a
bit of sprinkling rain currently. Courts should dry quickly, we do
not anticipate any delays at this time. Please keep checking here
and show up on time for your match. Thank you!
Friday May 26 11:00PM
It all comes down to this! We're at Finals Saturday! We have
trophies and other goodies to give out tomorrow, along with some
great tennis to be played! I'm optimistic the weather will hold for
us, and we have matches starting at 8 AM, with a majority starting
between 9-11. Please be on time for your match (check the draws for
times).
For those playing offsite at a later time, please make sure someone
gets balls and trophies from us tomorrow. And if you have lost
something during the tournament, please let me know so I can get
the item returned to you!
We also want to take a moment to thank our title sponsor once ore -
Thank you to Peter Braun of UBS for helping make sure the
Austin Scott can continue to be a great tournament for
everyone!
Friday May 26 3:00 PM
Courts are dry, and we may get lucky with weather today! However,
with thunderstorms still possible, if you are already scheduled
offsite and we are not already emailing about changing that, please
maintain your offsite match. Rain can happen any time, and
we want to guarantee everything gets played!
For matches on Saturday - we may be safe with weather again,
and the courts dry very quickly if a short shower occurs. Please
plan on being on-time for your finals match, which will all be best
of 3 full sets! We have trophies and swag to give out! And if you
have lost something during the tournament, we have a lost and
found. Please email me a description of your lost item and we will
get it to you.
Thursday May 25 - 9:30 PM
Good evening everyone! We're getting towards the finals for each
event. Thank you to everyone for rescheduling rained out matches
and finding indoor courts!
We're optimistic to get in all of matches tomorrow (and those who
are already playing offsite, please keep those plans).
For Finals Saturday, we're trying to make sure to schedule as much
in the morning, before weather hits us, as possible. However, I
continue to ask - if you have access to indoor courts, please let
me know. Otherwise, we DO have the courts on Sunday - so we
can make up matches then if necessary!
Thursday May 25 3:00 PM
Courts are dry but windy! We are currently a go for our afternoon
matches - please arrive on time (or early) for your
match!
Wednesday May 24 - 9:45 PM
Good evening everyone! We played through all of our matches today,
and thanks for everyone who has been flexible and accommodating
with indoor courts! It looks like we might be lucky on Thursday -
rain appears to be later in the day, so we should get through our
matches (but be prepared for cloudy/windy conditions). For
people playing Friday, if you have ANY access to indoor courts,
please let us know ASAP!
We will be on court at 3 PM on Thursday to set up, check court
conditions, and prepare for the day!
Wednesday May 24 - 3:20 PM
Sun's out, along with the wind! We're ready for all of today's
matches - please make sure you arrive on time and ready to play!
We'll put people on as quickly as we can!
As a reminder - if you are playing Thursday or Friday and have
access to indoor courts, please email me ASAP!
Tuesday May 23 - 9:40 PM
Great matches today, we played
until the last vestiges of light whispered away into darkness - and
got all matches done! Tomorrow looks to be a great day, and I am
working on scheduling out the rest of our draws. I am also working
on the wheelchair event, which will be held Friday and
Saturday!
As many people have commented, weather may rear its head on
Thursday and Friday. Many people have already offered indoor
courts, which we will absolutely take advantage of. If you have
access to indoor courts for a Thursday or Friday match, please
email me!
Monday May 22 - 8:45 PM
We were able to finish some matches today before the rain came, and
have rescheduled the others. For those of you playing offsite,
please report your scores to me as soon as possible. Tomorrow
should be a much sunnier day, and I will again be on court at 3 PM.
I expect for us to be able to catch back up!
Make sure to check your draws for playing times!
Sunday May 21 - 8:45 PM
Good evening folks! Scores have been entered, and all matches
played through the weekend! Please check your draws for match
times, as there have been some updates. More match times will be
added as we progress through draws during the week.
For Monday matches, I will be on court at 3 PM, and match times
start at 4. I will see you there!
Saturday May 20th - 9:55 PM
Good evening everyone! After a glorious (if not chilly) first day
full of tennis, where we completed all of our matches, we're ready
for just as great of a Sunday! All scores are entered, and more of
the draw has been scheduled out. There is still a chance items may
change for future scheduling (past Sunday), so keep checking back
here!
I will be on court at 7 AM on Sunday to prepare for our first
matches.

Weather update - 8:45 PM
Courts are dry! We set up for about 3 hours and shoveled
some snow, got rid of some puddles, and are looking forward to a
starting Saturday! Matches will start at the scheduled 8 AM
start time! I will be on court at 7 AM to prepare for the day.
Dress WARMLY, it is set to be sunny but cold. Please check back
here often for updates if weather comes into play. And check your
draws!!
Note - You will need to bring your own chairs - the ones
typically onsite are being used for graduation. Please make sure to
bring yours from home! Also - please leave your dogs AT HOME. We
love our pups too, but they unfortunately have caused issues at the
tournament (both affecting players and leaving behind messes in the
grass we all sit in).
DIRECTIONS TO CU SOUTH TENNIS COMPLEX
The CU South Campus Courts are located at Hwy 36 and Table Mesa Dr
in Boulder, CO. The courts can be a little tricky to find if it's
your first time out, as you have to take some back roads to reach
them. From Denver, exit Hwy 36 to Table Mesa Dr. Turn Left
and continue over Hwy 36 to the 1st stop light. Turn Left into the
South CU Complex (South Loop Road). Once in the complex, take the
first 2 rights (on dirt roads). The courts will be on your left.
From central Boulder, exit Hwy 36 at Table Mesa Dr. Continue
straight through the light into the South CU Complex on South Loop
Road. Once in the complex, take the first 2 rights (on dirt roads).
The courts will be on your left.
Player Party (update)- Saturday May 20th in the later afternoon
(4-5 PM)
We're having our player party with some drawings
and food on Saturday, May 20th in the afternoon! We also have some
other goodies for you including massages and athletic shirts for
everyone. We're looking forward to a great week of tennis!
Wednesday May 17
Draws are out!
I tried to accommodate as many avoidance
requests as I could. Please make sure to check the draw for your
match times. For any draws without a match time yet listed, it will
be added as play progresses!
Please make sure you check back here frequently as draws may change
with weather (weather at the Austin Scott? Never!). Currently, we
are planning on setting up for the tournament on Friday, so we will
see how this week's storm acts. I expect we will have a great
starting day on Saturday!
Matches for NTRP and age divisions are best 2 out of 3 sets, with a
10-point tiebreaker in lieu of a full 3rd set. Starting with
semifinals, NTRP will be a full 3 sets (age groups will still have
a 10-point tiebreaker). Open events are a full 3 sets.
Please also bring your old tennis gear - shoes, racquets, bags,
anything tennis-related. We will have a Racquets for All donation
bin to collect everything for this great cause. (We may not have
the bin, but will collect gear in another fashion).
