For New England rankings: Men's 60 Singles, Men's 65 Doubles,
and Women's 50 Doubles are "Designated" events.
A favorite Senior Tennis Tournament held in the beautiful
Berkshires. Play is on the Har-Tru (clay) courts at Williams
College. First Match Losers Consolation (FMLC) for all
events.
Events: Men's Singles: M90s, M85s, M80s, M75s, M70s Friday, July
15, not before 9 am. Men's Singles: M50s, M55s,M60s, M65s, Friday,
July 15, not before 10:30 am. Women's Singles:W50s, W60s, W70s
Saturday, July 16, not before 10:30 am. All Doubles: Friday, July
15, not before 10:30 am. Women's: W50d, W60d, W70d; Men's: 85d,
M80d, M75d, M70d, M65d, M60d, M55d, M50d; Mixed Doubles: X45d (Men
and women 45 and above) X55d (Men and women 55 and above) X65d (Men
and women 65 and above)
Entries for the doubles close at the same time as for the singles,
and the doubles draw will be done at the same time as the singles
draw. Interested players should enter even without a partner. The
tournament will put unpaired players in contact with each other and
will refund entry fees to those who remain without a partner.
Matches will be the best of 3 sets with a set Tie Break (first to 7
with a margin of 2) FMLC will be 1 Pro Set (First to 8 games with a
margin of 2).
All matches brought indoors due to inclement weather: Regular Sets
in progress will be completed, then each additional set will be 1
Pro Set (First to 8 games with a margin of 2). Indoor matches due
to inclement weather will be on a hard surface. We appreciate
players' understanding the challenges faced due to weather-related
requirements.
Prizes will be given for Winners and Finalist of Main Draw and
Consolation
Details: On-Site check in begins: Friday, July 15, at 8:30 am.
Saturday, July 16, at 8:30 am. 1. Current USTA membership required.
2. Report 30 minutes before start of event entered (15 minute
default rule, 10 minute warm-up). 3. Players may enter in 2 events,
a third event is not guaranteed. 4. Players in the 50 to 70 age
events may be expected to play 2 rounds the first day in each event
as needed. 5. New balls are available for 3rd sets of semi-final
and final matches. ALL PLAYERS must report scores to the Officials
Table at the end of the match.

Foundation for its continued support of this tournament. Plan on
the New England Senior Tennis Foundation sponsored dinner Banquet
on Friday evening at 6:00 pm at the Williams Inn, (cash bar).
Dinner to follow at 7:00 pm. Pay $15 for each person including any
guest. ONLINE Registrants who are attending the banquet please pay
for the banquet at Tourney Check-in AND contact Tournament Director
with Reservation and Menu Choice(s): Steak Tips with red and green
peppers and crispy friend onions; Pan-seared Chicken Breast with

NOTE: Tournament Co-Directors Dot Houston and Ron Plock have
decided that it's time for them to step aside and let others run
the tournament. Because of work and lifestyle changes they can no
longer devote time to the annual event in July. We are seeking
tennis players or those interested in the sport to take over
beginning in 2017, with the hope they can join the tournament this
year and learn how it is done. Anyone interested in directing and
administering the Chaffee-Hart-Alden Tournament at Williams College
in mid-July, please contact either Dot or Ron to learn more about
the process.
