Format of Play & Important Changes
All matches in all divisions except 10&U will be best 2 out of 3 tie break sets with a 10 point breaker in lieu of a full third. Regular scoring in all divisions. Consolation is offered in all divisions for singles and doubles. Only large draws will start on Friday. For Round Robin draws you have to play in the first round before you can play in subsequent rounds. The only exception is if you are defaulted for lateness. This is a USTA rule. Not ours. We cannot accept ANY JUNIOR ENTRIES after entries close. This applies to all Sanctioned Tournaments in Texas.

head-to-head wins), emails must be sent to the Tournament Director
immediately after entry deadline.
REGISTRATION: Players must register at first match playing

Effective 1-1-2018: NTRP TX Sanctioned players are required to
Self Rate, if they have no rating. If a player enters and plays
a TX Sanctioned tournament levels division with a "0.0" rating,
they will be notified that Self Ratings are now required for play
in levels divisions in Texas Sanctioned Tournaments. A player
violating this rule by playing in a levels division in a second
sanctioned tournament without a self rating will receive an
automatic 30 day suspension and any points earned from those
tournaments will be removed.
Adult / Senior / Super Senior players and teams:
USTA rules state that in a Round Robin draw, "a player
who is defaulted for any reason other than lateness shall not play
in subsequent matches and may not be declared the winner of the
round robin." [Friend at Court Reg. II.B.6.d.] Therefore, if
a player or team defaults, they will not be allowed to play the
Rounds following that defaulted match, and if subsequent matches
are played, the draw will be changed to show default(s) which will
result in win(s) for the opposing player(s) or team(s).
