Notes
My father, Bob Seiy, passed away a few months ago. He started
the Milwaukee Open in 1968, when l was just 5 years old. I
inherited the event in 1998 when he retired to Florida. His great
tennis career-highlights include #1 ranked in Wisconson, and before
coming to America played on the Hungarian national Davis Cup team.
After 2000, then WTA Executive Director John Jansky offered me the
State Open and Closed tourneys to direct, plus l helped create the
Greater Milw Indoor Open in 2001at Pleasant Valley, which was a
huge success. I wanna thank all the players from around Wis and
surrounding states that have supported my tourneys and the great
game of tennis the last 18 years. Also wanna especially thank
Umpire Henry Thomas and assistants Amy Richmond and Lori Dingman
for their great work, dedication and support through the years.
