ADDITIONAL ONE HOUR DELAY
Draws have been updated!

NEW SCHEDULE POSTED! SUNDAY 10 AM
*New start times have been posted. PLEASE double check your start times as, in a number of cases (especially girls), I have actually not changed them from original times, or not by much, so they aren't playing into the night (and preemptively in case there is another delay).
*We are heading back to the courts now. IF we have to delay one additional hour, we will post by 10:45 AM.
*In order to get all of the main draw matches in today and preserve at least one or two rounds of the consolations, both main draw and consolation matches have been shortened. I will have new formats posted on the website, at the tournament site and of course i will review them with every player before he/she plays today. For non-level 7 tournaments, consolations are often cancelled before main draw matches are shortened further - however, one main purpose of level 7 tournaments is to ensure players get at least two matches, so we are trying to "compromise" =) In addition, depending on the event, a number of the consolations will not be played out, but at least two rounds will be played in most cases (and, if format was FIC, quarterfinalists will still feed in). Questions about how/why things have been handled the way they have (or about anything), please ask!
*Consolations are still signup! The best thing to do is, no matter what round you start in or win or lose in, please return to the tournament desk and I will tell you if you are done, if you need to decide if you want to play or not, and if you do play again, the time of that match.
*On a day like this, it is particularly important to be on time, which is 15 minutes before match time, totally ready to go. Also very important to report to the desk as soon as you are called, get on the court as quickly as possible, and stick with a 5 minute warmup. This helps keep the schedule on time for yourself and everyone - thank you so much in advance for your consideration!

ADDITIONAL RAIN DELAY - SUNDAY
The rain has continued. Although it looks like it should be over by around 10 AM, we will still have to dry courts that are very wet at this point. NO MATCHES WILL START BEFORE NOON TODAY, SUNDAY! I will be reworking draws and will send an email when they are done!

Schedule of Play!
Players should be available both Saturday and Sunday in case of inclement weather. The plan is for BG 10's, 16's and 18's to be played on Saturday October 31st, to be completed by 5 PM. BG 12's and 14's will be played on Sunday November 1st.
|
Event Information
Players are only able to sign up for one event online. This ensures we are able to accomodate everyone in one event before considering a second event. If you would like to play in more than one event, please contact Teresa before the deadline and tell her which event you are already registered for and which event you would like to add IF it will work in the schedule.
For the Level 7 tournaments, the likelihood of being able to play in more than one event if they are on the same day (eg B12 and B14) is less than if playing on separate days. However, you are welcome to email Teresa and she will do her best to accomodate!
|
Please Be On Time!
Players
should check in and be ready to play (warmed up, stretched, and been to
the restroom) at least 15 minutes before the match start time. If a court is open, we will get the match started asap in order to avoid any delays later in the day!

If it rains and matches are already being played, players will be called off the courts. Tournament director will take scores and tell players when to return to finish matches. An update will then be posted on the tournament homepage. Please continue to check the tournament homepage. Sign Up Consolations
Consolations are offered so that every player has the opportunity to play at least two matches (barring rain or no other players signing up). Consolations are Sign-Up in order to avoid any no shows and penalties. Please return to the tournament desk after your match (win or lose). Given most draw formats are FIC or NEF, please return to the desk even
after you have played more than one match to see if you are eligible for consolations. If you are eligible, let the tournament director know if you do or do not want to participate in the consolations.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
