Consolation matches will be played at John A. Logan College at 9:30am. Please come by the HS before you go. Ask tournament desk who you play and get balls.

Opening Ceremony;
A local trumpet player will be playing The National Anthem at 4:30 tonight at the High School.

Stringing Machine;
There will not be a stringing machine on site. Please bring your raqts ready to play.

Most consolation matches will be played at John A. Logan College. 700 Logan College Dr, Carterville Il 62918. This location is approximately 15 minutes from Home courts.

Sportsmanship;
We have tried our best to provide as fair a Draw as possible. Our goal is for all players to have a great tournament experience. Please be honest and courteous to your fellow competitors. Thanks for all of your support . My father would be proud.

Men's Open Singles;
First round of Mens Open Singles will start Friday evening around 5pm. There will be an opening ceremony with a trumpet playing of The National Anthem before,followed by a prayer.We will be working all night to try to provide the best tournament experience possible.

Venues
There are two locations we are using for the Tournament. Marion High School [HS] 1501 S. Carbon St Marion Il 62959 and Russell St Park [RS] 600 N. Russell St Marion Il 62959. These courts are less than five minutes from each other.

Father Son and Parent Child Divisions:
Some people are having trouble registering online. Players online in the Father son are actually in the Parent Child. This event is for any Parent or grandparent of that child to play and have fun. Contact us if you have any questions.

Doubles
All draws will close tonight at 9pm. If you are not paired with your partner online please do so. The weather is looking good for the weekend. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Thanks for supporting this Memorial Tournament in honor of my father. I know he is proud.

Lodging
The Airport Inn is offering rooms for players for $45.99 plus tax per night 618-997-4701. Players have stayed there in the past and said it was quiet and clean. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. We look forward to another great tournament.

Welcome to the 11th Annual Jim Pearce Memorial Tennis
Tournament. We are offering over $2,500.00 in prize money this year
for Men's Open Singles, Men's Open Doubles and Men's 35 and over
Singles. PRIZE MONEY will be distributed as follows. The Men's Open
Single's Champion will receive $750. The runner-up will receive
$350. Semifinalists will receive $150 each . Men's Open Double's
Champions $200 each , runners-up $100 each, and semifinalists $50
each. NEW for 2015 we will be offering prize money to the Men's 35
and over Singles Division. Prize money will be as follows. Men's 35
Singles Champion will receive $200 , runner-up $100 , and
semi-finalists $50 each.
Men's and Women's 3.5 Singles and Doubles, please call in entry to
Bruce 751-1900 or Joe 922-1609. Entry deadline is Wednesday, May
20th at 9:00pm.
Thre is a limit of one singles and one doubles per entrant. However
you may sign up for mixed doubles as a 3rd event since this event
will start late Friday afternoon. As always my mother will be
making Sub sandwiches for all players. Tee shirts will be provided
as well. Elvis will be taking pictures with all Finalists. Come
experience our Southern Illinois Hospitality. My father would be
proud!
No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, May 20, 2015 9:00:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
