COURT & TOURNAMENT STATUS UPDATE: 2:30 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13
As of 2:30 PM, rain in the
immediate area resumed temporarily shortly after 2:00 PM. Due to mist, humidity
and cloud cover, along with severely saturated courts, the tournament committee
does not believe that the courts will be playable for the remainder of the day
or evening.
Regrettably, we have made
the decision to cancel the remainder of the tournament.
Thank you to our tournament
players for your patience today during the weather delays . We appreciate everyone
participating in the tournament, and we hope that you had a great time (until
today). Good luck in your next event.

COURT STATUS UPDATE: 2:00 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13
As of 2:00
PM, all courts are wet and unplayable. However, the rain has essentially
stopped in the immediate area. The plan at this time is as follows:
* We are closely monitoring the weather. Different weather sites have conflicting
forecasts (clearing v not clearing, 100% chance of rain v no rain). We are reviewing and considering all available information.
* Radar indicates
a possible clearing in the 3:15-3:30 PM time range.
* We will
need lower humidity and some wind to make the courts playable. Squeegees will
not have enough of an impact under current conditions.
* We had indicated we would make a decision by 2:00 PM. However, we are taking
an extra 30 minutes, until 2:30 PM, to make a final decision, as we hope that
by that time, we can determine whether or not the clearing will materialize.
* By 2:30 PM, we will make a final decision
about cancelling or resuming the tournament. We will update this website
and the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) again at that time.
* If the tournament resumes, no matches will begin before 3:30 PM, and we
will use modified scoring for all remaining matches.
If you are not going to be able to wait out the rain delay(s), and find that
you must withdraw from the event, please call and let us know as soon as
possible so that we can contact your opponent. Ask for the Referee or
Tournament Desk. Thank you!
We apologize for the weather inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience
with the rain delays. We understand the time and financial investment made by
the players, and we are making every effort to finish the remaining matches scheduled
for today.

COURT STATUS UPDATE: 1:00 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13
As of 1:00
PM, all courts are wet and unplayable. Light rain continues to fall intermittently.
The plan at this time is as follows:
* We will continue to closely monitor the weather. Different weather sites have
conflicting forecasts, and we are using all available information.
* There is
an indication of a possible clearing in the 3:00-3:30 PM time range.
* If the rain
stops, we will need the humidity to reduce and some wind to make the courts
playable. Squeegees will not have a positive impact under current conditions.
* We will not make a decision about cancelling the tournament before 2:00 PM. We
will update this website and the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166)
again at that time.
* If the tournament resumes, no matches will begin before 3:15 PM, and we
will use modified scoring for all remaining matches.
We understand the time and financial investment made by
the players, and we are making every effort to finish the 14 matches on the
schedule for today.

COURT STATUS UPDATE: 12:00 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13
As of 12:00 PM, all courts are wet and unplayable. Light to moderate rain continues to fall intermittently. The
plan at this time is as follows: * We will continue to closely
monitor the weather. This task is challenging, as different weather
sites have conflicting forecasts and radar maps available. * We will update this website and
the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) again at 1:00 PM, as well as hourly through (tentatively), 2:00 PM. * No matches will begin before 2:15 PM. *
We do not plan to cancel the tournament before 2:00 PM. However, if
weather conditions worsen, we may make a decision as early as 1:00 PM. *
If it is determined (by 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM) that we cannot resume the tournament by
3:00 PM (or shortly afterwards), we will regrettably cancel the event. * If the tournament resumes this afternoon, we will use modified scoring for all remaining matches.
If you are not going to be able to wait out the rain delay(s), and find
that you must withdraw from the event, please call and let us know as soon as possible so that we can
contact your opponent. Ask for the Referee or Tournament Desk. Thank you!

The plan at this time is as follows: * We will continue to closely monitor the weather. This task is challenging, as different weather sites have conflicting forecasts. * We will update this website and
the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) again at 12:00 PM. * No matches will begin before 1:15 PM. * We will continue hourly updates on this website and on the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) through 2:00 PM (tentatively). * We do not plan to cancel the tournament before 2:00 PM. COURT STATUS UPDATE: 10:00 AM, SUNDAY, APRIL 13
As of 10:00 AM, all courts are still wet and unplayable. Because of
saturation, cloud cover and humidity, squeegeeing will not improve court
conditions to the point of playability, especially with light rain falling intermittently. The plan at this time is as follows: * We will continue to closely monitor the weather. * We will update this website and
the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) again at 11:00 AM. * No matches will begin before 12:15 PM. * We will continue hourly updates on this website and on the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) through 2:00 PM. * We will not cancel the tournament before 2:00 PM. * If at 2:00 PM, it is determined that we cannot resume the tournament by 3:00 PM (or shortly afterwards), we will regrettably cancel the event. * If the tournament resumes this afternoon, we will use modified scoring for all remaining matches.

We will update this website and the program status line (rain line, 817-459-6166) again at 10:00 AM. No matches will begin before 11:15 AM. Note: At this time, we are not cancelling consolation rounds. However, if the tournament does resume today, modified scoring will likely be used. Thanks again for your patience.

Cell Phones: Please note that players may NOT use cell phones on court or at the tournament desk. Please turn them OFF. Spectators who use cell phones on the property should be mindful of whether their conversations interfere with tournament play (in which case, they will be asked to leave the area or turn the phone off) or normal business operations of the facility. Thank you for your cooperation.
Dress Code: We require that players and spectators wear traditional attire appropriate for a family tennis environment. All guests (players and spectators) are required to wear shirts (including ladies wearing shirts over sports bras), with no bare stomachs / abdomens. Shorts and skirts should be of an appropriate length, as well. If alternate locations are used for the event, it is the responsibility of age eligible players (or their guests) to learn in advance the smoking policies at specific facilities regarding smoking, and to abide by those policies.
Spectators: We welcome spectators for this event! However, spectators are not allowed on court at any time, at any site.
