TEXAS JUNIOR POINTS: Super Champs-Level 4 Standing points
Champs-Level 2 Ranking points.
JUNIOR ELIGIBILITY: To earn points, junior players must compete in
their qualified age division when offered.
SEEDING: USTA Texas recommends the "All Factors Method" of seeding
for Ad/Sr/SS divisions and that Committees use the Texas 12 Month
Rolling Standings List for initial considerations. If other
information is to be considered (such as head-to-head wins), emails
must be sent to the Tournament Director immediately after entry
deadline. HEADQUARTERS: Village Tennis Center, 8310 Southwestern
Blvd., Dallas.
REGISTRATION: Players must register at first match playing site 30
minutes prior to start of match.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY: (Adults) 5:00 p.m. Friday. All mixed doubles
start Friday evening. Juniors start 8:00 am Sat. Otherwise, play
begins on Saturday morning.

SPECIAL NOTES: Events with fewer than 4 entries may be combined.
Please note on entry if you will NOT play a combined event. No
refunds after entry deadline or for weather-related cancellations.
A first match loser consolation will be provided for adult singles
and doubles, provided draw size, court availability and weather
permit.
Doubles teams must enter together and pay full fees to be placed on
draw. All mixed doubles start Friday evening.

Please Read This Entire Page! Players Who Need to Withdraw! Please
e-mail steve@stevefranklintennis.com for any withdrawals. This will
create a hard copy for our file. NO phone withdrawals please until
day of matches. Also indicate the reason for the withdrawal. Draws
and match start times will be available! Draws will be posted by
5pm on Monday 4-1-2013. All players should pay particular attention
to the abbreviation next to the match time as this indicates the
match location. Some locations may change from Sat to Sun. Players
are requested to download a copy of their draw as well as a map to
each site that they are scheduled to play. Maps are located under
the more info tab. Match Start times!! To improve consistency and
help ensure fairness to all players, Referees and Officials will be
strictly enforcing lateness rules this year. The Lateness Penalty
begins when the match is scheduled and called, and any court is
available. This means there will be no grace period on first match
times. Players should arrive 30 minutes early for every match and
once checked in be ready to play. If a player checks in and is not
ready when called, point penalties may apply as well. Point Penalty

Ask for the USTA Tournament Discount, call 1-800-321-2211 . The
tournament rate is $74.00 plus tax. Tournament Day Player Phone

the Site Director has your contact (Mobile) phone number before you
leave the site. Circumstances with matches may arise in which the
Site Director may need to contact you. FORMATS and SCHEDULE OF PLAY
for Adults, All singles (two out of three) sets, ad scoring, with a
regular tie-break (first to seven by 2) for all sets. Doubles
divisions will play (two out of three) sets, ad scoring, with a
Koman tie break, (first to seven by 2) for all sets. All divisions
have a mandatory first match loser consolation. Juniors will play 2
regular scoring sets with a 10 point tie break in lieu of the third
set up until Sunday. Check draws for times and locations. No
Waitlist or Late Entries Per the Texas Section No players may be
added after the entrants have been verified. AWARDS! First Second
and consolation for all events. PLAYERS NOTE We appreciated
everyone participating in the Dallas Spring Open. Some sites may
not have water on the court, so be prepared.

New 10 & Under Regulation - Other Junior Tournaments
Starting on January 1, 2012, 10s will offer 10 & Under Orange Ball Division (orange ball, 60 foot court and 25 inch racquet) and 10 & Under Green Ball Division (green dot ball, 78 foot court and 27 inch racquet). Please register for Boys' or Girls' 10s, and you will be placed into the correct 10s division. For the full 10s regulation, please click here

Recovery Rule - Effective Immediately
USTA has mandated that all full two out of three set singles matches shall offer a minimum rest period of two hours. A minimum rest period of two hours is not required for matches using shortened formats, matches using 10-point match tiebreaks in lieu of third set, and all 10 & Under tennis formats.
Super Champ Major Zone "B" Draws (Main & Consolation Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
Champ Major Zones (Main Draw) will use a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set through the quarterfinal round. Semifinals and finals will play a full two out of three set match.
Junior Other Tournaments: Depending on draw size the Tournament Director and / or Referee will determine the appropriate match format.
