Beginning October 1, 2013, the USTA Point Penalty System (PPS) along with the USTA Texas Suspension Point System will be utilized in all 10 and Under divisions. The PPS applies to violations occurring during the warm-up and the match in any sanctioned tournament. The purposes of the PPS are to deter unsportsmanlike conduct, ensure compliance with continuous play rule, and ensure on-time appearance for matches.
The USTA Texas Suspension Point System assesses points for acts detrimental to the integrity of tennis. Once a player accumulates ten suspension points within a 12-month period, he/she will be suspended from play in USTA sanctioned tournaments.
