Tournament Rules
This is an outdoor hard court tournament with a full consolation draw for singles and single elimination for doubles. It will be held at Plainfield North High School, 12005 S 248th Ave, Plainfield, IL 60585 The tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Monday will only be used as a rain date. Seeding is based on the most current Midwest Standing List, but the Tournament Director reserves the right to modify it due to considerations for head-to-head play and other age group results. Scoring will be ad with best two of three sets. Some draws may use a super tiebreak in lieu of the third set in order to complete the draw in two days. If rain occurs, matches will be postponed and consolation draw may be shortened or eliminated. No indoor courts will be used. Some draws may be limited. A minimum of three players per age group is needed to play that age group. A round robin draw will be used for 3-5 players. USTA rules and codes will be enforced by court monitors. If you are running late to your match, you must call the tournament director at the above number prior to your start time or you will be defaulted within 15 minutes of your start time.

New USTA rules
Reminder...Two new rules from last year: (1) BG18 players -- will now have a 10-minute rest break between the second and third set when a full third set is played. Previously, the 18s only had a 2-minute break. (2) All players -- when a match tiebreak is played in lieu of a third set, the 2 minute set break is now a 3 minute set break. During this 3-minute break, players may leave the court and be coached. Players must be back on court ready to play before the three minutes expires. Any player who is even a few seconds late incurs a game penalty, which in this case is the same as the loss of the match tiebreak, and the match is over.
