General Tournament Information
We're excited to offer our first 30's draw of the year, as well as
40's, 50's and Open divisions. Start the summer off right with our
Summer Break Out!
Tournament Officiating
USTA officials will be used on Friday and Saturday night.
Scoring
Matches will use the 10-point tiebreak in place of the third set,
normal scoring (with ad) for the first two sets. A 10-minute
warm-up will be used.
Schedule of Play
Tournament play will begin at or after 6PM on Friday, at or after
6PM on Saturday, with Sunday play/timing to be determined based on
draw sizes.
Draw Size
Four participants must be registered in any given level for the
event to run. Draws may be capped at 16 or 8 players, depending on
court availability, although larger draw sizes may be possible if
fewer events are running.
Selection Process
In the event draw sizes limit our registration, players will be
chosen based on Chicago District and Midwest Section results.
Please contact the tournament director with any specific quesions
regarding eligibility or the selection process.
First Match Times
First round start times will be posted using the "Future Match Info
Report" by the Wednesday evening before play begins. Full draws
will be posted at the event and uploaded to the tournament site
after the first night of play.
Withdraws/Midwest Suspension Point
System
If you need to withdraw while registration is still open, please go
to our homepage and in the left margin click on "Edit Registration"
and proceed to withdraw. No reason is necessary while the
registration is still open. If registration has closed and
tournament has not begun yet, please email the tournament director
and list the reason for withdraw. If tournament has begun, please
call the tournament director. REMEMBER when
withdrawing from a USTA event once the selections have been made,
the only reasons that are accepted by the USTA Referee without
incurring FIVE (5) suspension points are injury, illness or family
emergency. Having a soccer game, a family dinner, or not feeling
like playing the consolation are not accepted reasons.
Signing Up for Two Events/Midwest Suspension Point
System
USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System The USTA Code of
Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected
to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point
System. All players will be given FIVE (5) suspension points for
entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time,
in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved
agrees with the multiple entries in writing. This applies to all
players who signed up for the tournament including
alternates.
USTA Contact Information
Procedure for tournament registration: because of Privacy Laws,
your contact information from USTA membership doesn't show up in
the Tournament Directors' software anymore. Only what you indicate
during the registration process shows up. We have no way of
contacting you if you leave these areas blank. For instance, your
opponent is sick. You may make an extra trip here and not need to.
You must indicate all phone numbers, home, cell (a must!), work and
your email address on each registration, EACH and EVERY time, for
each and every tournament you register for.
Seeding Regulations
The number of players seeded shall equal a power of two (for
example 2,4,8,16,32). The maximum ratio of players seeded shall be
one in three, except that any draw may have two seeds. No more
seeded players at #'s 5,6,7,9,10,11,12,13,14,15, etc. For reference

Awards
Awards will be presented to the Champion and Finalist in each draw
(two awards each for doubles events).
