FACILITY RULES
The Mobile Tennis Center uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA.
Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players.
The list below indicates the Facility Behavior Rules:
- No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled.
- No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh My God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled.
- No use of "freaking", "frigging", or "fricking" or variations of such words either spoken or spelled.
- No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court.
Verbal rules apply to any langu-age. We have officials on sight that are fluent in many langu-ages.
Anyone found in violation of these rules may be subject to a Code Violation and receive suspension points.

ALTERNATES
CONTACT INFORMATION
It is your responsibility to notify me of your most current contact information. I will first email an alternate to offer an open spot. If there is no response, I will call the available phone numbers. I will leave a message, but move on to the next alternate. Please email tennistournament@comcast.net or fax to (251) 208-5188 your contact info.
ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT - POSTED BY NOON WED, JUNE 15th
This is the order alternates will replace any withdrawals originally selected from the Standings List. Withdrawing players will be replaced with an alternate from the State's Alternates List, unless there are none, until this report is posted.
POINT OF NO RETURN
It is your duty to notify us if you have reached the point where travelling is not an option. We understand that some of you may not be able to come at a moments notice if a spot opens. Please be courteous and withdraw from the alternates list if you know you cannot travel. As long as you are on the Alternates by Event Report, YOU are telling us you can still attend.
ENTRY FEE
Because you were not selected in the initial process, you must call (251) 208-5185 and provide a credit card number for processing the Entry Fee.
All applicants NOT admitted to the main draw shall be listed in order, to be moved into the main draw if/when spaces become available. The order will be based on Southern Standings.
If you are an alternate and do NOT get in on Friday, you may do any or all of the following:
1) Stand by as an on-site alternate through Saturday, 18th for any of the 128 unseeded positions
2) Come to play doubles on Sunday, June 19th
3) Stand by as an on-site alternate on Sunday, June 19th for the 32 seeded players
Alternates wishing to enter another tournament should withdraw from the Alternates list before entering another tournament. Alternates are not charged the entry fee.
|
LATE ENTRIES
Because we are dealing with such a short time period between entries closing and the start of the tournament there will be very little time to deal with late entries. Remember late entries will go below all other alternates regardless of standings in the order received. We will only accept email or fax requests for late entry - absolutely no phone calls. Also, if a late entry's standing will affect seedings, the late entry will not be accepted unless a seed were to withdraw. Following are dates for you to note:
6/10 FRI - Entries close 11:59 pm (1 Minute before midnight) Central TIME
6/13 MON - Tournament Director Selection Process to be completed by 5:00 PM
6/14 TUE - Respond to Late Entry Requests.
Best advice is to register on time and know there are no excuses for missing the deadline. If you miss the deadline your only hope is to be a late entry.

MANDATORY TOURNAMENT CHECK IN
Mandatory means just that. We are staying until 9:00 pm for your convenience. We feel strongly that you should be able to make it by that time.
For those of you that "just can't make it by that time" need to do the following and please do not call:
1. Make sure your entry fee has been paid - check the Tournament Entry Fee Report when posted
2. Email or Fax in your Medical Release Waiver WITH your CELL phone numbers & HOTEL info completed to 251/208-5188.
3. Show up 30 minutes before your match time. Please be patient with us when checking in, we will be focused on getting matches on and off the court. Checking in people at this time will be a detriment to the tournament.
4. Those of you playing 8:00 am matches at the Mobile Tennis Center will need to be on your assigned court at 7:45. Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time.
On Saturday we will only have one person checking in players for the tournament (those that did not come the night before). Obviously this is not enough to check in everyone 30 minutes before their matchtimes. If you are not on your court by your assigned match time, you will be penalized. Because you did not check-in the night before, is no excuse for being late for your match. We cannot predict if there will be 5 people or 50 people waiting to check in when you do. You cannot play your match until you have checked in for the tournament. If there is a line that causes you to be late for your match, unfortunately that will be your problem that could have been avoided. Therefore, we urge all of you to check-in on Friday this includes Locals, Commuters and Travelers.
Thank you for your cooperation.

MEDICAL, USTA & PUBLICITY RELEASE WAIVER
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. Please download and bring this completed with you or fax to us (251-208-5188) to speed up the registration process. Players are not allowed on court without this signed release:

MATCH CHECK IN PROCEDURES
MATCH CHECK IN RULE:
Regulation IV.A.2 states "The referee may penalize a player who is on site for lateness if a court is available and the player has failed to check in at the tournament desk by the scheduled match time."
THIS MEANS, IF THERE IS 1 OPEN COURT AT 10:00 AND THERE ARE 3 MATCHES TO PUT ON, THE REFEREE WILL START THE CLOCK FOR LATENESS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT CHECKED IN FOR 10:00 - EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH COURTS FOR ALL 3 MATCHES.
1. The first matches of each day will report directly to the court at 7:45, and balls will be on the court. Matches should begin promptly at 8:00.
2. For all matches after 8:00 am, please get in a single-file line at the tournament desk at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Do not wait until 9:59 to check in for 10:00. You must go to the bathroom, fill your water bottle, etc. and be ready to go on court before you check in.
3. Once you have checked in, please stay near the tournament desk until we tell you the court assignment. You must be where you can hear us call your name after you check in.
4. We will be watching the clock for lateness. Please do not ask if your opponent has checked in - you have other things to think about. The staff and the Referee will take care of lateness issues you need only worry about your own timeliness.

Temperatures can go either way, so pack for hot and cold weather and Always HYDRATE.
If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest you see the trainer. If you need to withdraw due to injury or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have confirmation from the trainer. Remember if you withdraw during the tournament, you must see the Head Referee in person or it will count as a "No Show."
