3/30/11 9:45 PM EARLY CHECK-IN
Early check-in will begin at 2:00 PM at SITE A (Cooper Creek Park on the left side). We will have player packets available and will offer sandwiches, fruit and waters to get your doubles matches off to a great start. Please bring your completed Waiver if you have not previously faxed it in. We will be checking in players until 9:00 PM, so please come on by and get checked in even if you are not playing doubles. IF you wish to warm-up before your double's match, you may do so at Site C, the Country Club of Columbus. There will be a limited number of public courts available at Cooper Creek. You will have to check-in at the Clubhouse, pay for a court, and will be required to sweep the court after hitting. We want to encourage you to use SITE C for warm-up on Friday.

<3/31/11 10:00 PM WARM-UP COURTS
Friday: Site C will have warm-up courts available free of charge to players. If you wish to warm-up at Cooper Creek, you will have to check-in at the 2 story clubhouse, pay for a court and you will be required to sweep your court after hitting. We encourage you to use SITE C on this day.
Saturday: There will be 1 court available for warm-up at SITE A for the B 16s. There will 2 courts available at SITE B for the B and G 18s. There will be 1 court available for warm-up at SITE C for the G 16s. If we get behind, we may need to use the warm-up courts for matches. We encorage you to share the court if others are waiting. We will open the courts at 7:00 AM each morning for warm-up. There is no charge for warm-up courts once the tournament begins.
Sunday: There will be 1 court available for warm-up at SITE A for the B 16s. There will 2 courts available at SITE B for the B and G 18s. ALTERNATE LIST
The ALTERNATE LIST on the top is the most recent.
If you are on the alternate list, please email us with the following information. In the "Subject" area put the division (B16, B18, G16, G18 and the word "alternate". Include player's name, 2 phone numbers and an email address in the email. Please check the site often. We will publush new alternate reports as things change. You will have 24 hours to respond before we move on to the next player.

WITHDRAWING AFTER TOURNAMENT DEADLINE
All withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by email to aline@corta.org. You must include the reason for the withdrawal (injury, illness or personal circumstance), players name, players age division and a phone number where you can be reached. Please notify us immediately upon your decision to withdraw so another player will have an opportunity to be selected to play. NO refunds will be given if you withdraw on or after March 25, 2011.

DOUBLE"S REGISTRATION
Double's Registration opens on March 22 and closes on March 25. Double's play will begin Friday at 5:00 and we will play 2 rounds. We will not partner players. Please enter double's in the same age group that you were accepted in for singles. BOTH players must sign up with your partner. IF you are only playing doubles, the fee will be $25.00 due at check-in.

FACEBOOK DOUBLE'S PAGE
We will be using Facebook to help you find a doubles partner. If you have a Facebook account, you can join the group and post messages for others that are playing in the tournament. If you need a double's partner, post your information on the group home page and see who else needs a partner for the tournament. Please note that we will not pair players or make teams. All players are responsible for finding their own partner.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES/PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP
All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US Citizenship. Green cards will be accepted, but passports will not. A file of those with proof on file is posted below.

PLEASE NOTE THAT INITIAL CHECK-IN FOR ALL AGE GROUPS WILL BE AT COOPER CREEK TENNIS CENTER, SITE A. BEGINNING ON SATURDAY, YOU WILL REPORT TO THE SITE WHERE YOUR AGE GROUP IS PLAYING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED MATCH TIME.

Cooper Creek Tennis Center (SITES A and B) is located at 4816 Milgen Road Columbus, Georgia 31909 Cooper Creek Tennis Center is a public facility with a two-story clubhouse overlooking 30 newly resurfaced clay courts. There are walking and bike paths on site.
Directions to Cooper Creek Tennis Center from I-185: Take I-185 S to Exit 7 (Manchester Expressway). Turn east onto Manchester Expressway. Travel approximately 2 miles to the Warm Springs Road Connector. Travel up the exit ramp and turn right. The entrance to Cooper Creek Park is directly ahead. The clubhouse is a two-story building located on the right as you enter the park. INITIAL TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN DESK WILL BE ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD AT THE ANNEX BUILDING (SITE A).

The Country Club of Columbus has eleven courts, ten clay and one all weather court.
Directions to Country Club of Columbus from Cooper Creek Tennis Center: Take a left at the light on Milgen Road. Travel approximately 3.5 miles. At the sixth traffic light turn left. (Hilton Avenue to the left/Woodruff Road to the right.) Cross the bike path and turn right on Camille Drive(this street merges with Cherokee Avenue) The Country Club will be about 1 mile on your left. (Note: Milgen Road changes names. Milgen Road=Gentian Boulevard=Warm Springs Road)

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE OF PLAY
FRIDAY, APRIL 1: 2 rounds of Doubles beginning at 5:00 PM

FORMAT
64 Draw per age division, Full-feed in through the QF
Scoring: Singles main draw will be the best of three tie-break sets. New balls provided before the 3rd set.) There will be a 3rd/4th playoff in the main draw.
Singles consolation will be two out of three sets with a 10 point match tie-break being played in lieu of third set. We will not play out the finals in FIC.
Doubles will play 8 game pro-set with a match tiebreak played at 8-all

SIGNING UP FOR 2 DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines:
1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for, will automatically be selected to the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division.
2. Players not selected to either division will remain on the alternate's list for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alternate list. They will be removed from the alternate list in the other division.
3. Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

REGISTRATION AND EARLY CHECK-IN
Registration and early check-in will be held at Cooper Creek Tennis Center (SITE A) Friday, April 1 beginning at 2:00 PM and lasting until 7:00 PM. We will have snacks and drinks for players at check-in. Only the player is allowed to register. IF you CANNOT make it to early check-in you must email us and let us know and report 1 hour before your first scheduled match to the main tournament site, which is SITE A at Cooper Creek Tennis Center.

Saturday 11:00 AM-2:00 PM. Jason's Deli box lunches will be served atCooper Creek Tennis Center(SITE A) and the Country Club of Columbus (SITE C) Parents may purchase $5.00 lunches for Saturday on Friday at player check in. Be sure to let the desk staff know where you would like the lunches delivered. (SITE A or C)

NEW RULES FOR 2011
When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of a 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. Coaching will be allowed during the break.
When using a full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 10 minute break between the 2nd and 3rd sets for all age divisions.
Line calls changed from "out" to "in" no longer result in a let. The player who made the incorrect call now loses the point regardless of their subsequent shot.

WITHDRAWING BEFORE THE ENTRY DEADLINE
If entries have not closed, a player may withdraw by going to the tournament's USTA TennisLink Home Page. Once in the system, click on the "Register Now" text in red. When taken to the next page, click on "Withdraw" on the left hand side of the screen. You will need your confirmation number from your original registration to withdraw. Because your credit card will not be charged prior to the entry deadline, no refund needs to be made. If you cannot find your confirmation number, contact linkteam@usta.com.

CONTACT INFORMATION
Tournament directors do not have access to phone numbers and email addresses of the tournament participants UNLESS the player re-enters their contact information at the time of the event registration. This means that if a player does not enter their phone number and email information each time they register for a tournament, the tournament director will not be able to contact them for any reason, including withdrawals, defaults, etc. Your cooperation will ensure that the tournament directors can continue to communicate necessary information to all of the tournament players.

ENTRY
Entry will be based on selection criteria of up to 56 from the age group of the event and up to 8 from the lower age group who did not get in the first 56, and who are in the top 80 of the Southern standings at the time of selection.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 20, 2011 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
