The 3rd Annual Pam Krone Memorial NTRP Tournament - TOY 2.5, 3.0

Thank you to all of the participants, spectators, volunteers, referees, tennis center staff, Java Sushi, Truckee High School Boys Tennis Team. We received almost $800 in donations to the assorted scholarships, charities and teams that we supported during the event. We appreciate all of the support and most importantly all of the participation and positive energy that you all had this past weekend. What a pleasure it was for us at the Tahoe Donner Tennis Center to host such a great group of competitors and we look forward to seeing many of you again at the Senior Tournament here in late September (35+ age groups) and next year at our June and August NTRP events. Please be sure to stick around for lunch today as the Truckee High School Boy's Tennis Team will be serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and drinks to help raise funds for their high school tennis campaign. The Tahoe Donner Tennis Center is proud to support the following charities and teams. The Pam Krone Memorial Scholarship Fund is given annually to a local Truckee High School graduate that is looking to continue their education in the arts. We are also looking to help fund the continued development of the local cancer center here in the city of Truckee. The Truckee High School Boys and Girls Tennis Teams are also on the list of programs that we try to help. $2 from each player in the tournament will be donated to the Pam Krone Scholarship Fund and any donations, food that you purchase from Java Sushi on Saturday and the Boys Tennis Team on Sunday will also help out all of these causes and are greatly appreciated. Seedings, draws and match times have been completed. Please make sure to check for your first match time. The men's 3.5 doubles is a round robin so make sure to check all 3 rounds for accurate start times. Thank you all for making this the biggest and hopefully the best tournament at The Tahoe Donner Tennis Center so far. The weather is looking to be in the mid 80's so bring your sunscreen and hat and we will see you on the courts. Ian Mindell

JAVA SUSHI will be on hand for lunch on Saturday, August 27th from 12pm until 5pm. They will be featuring their famous sushi rolls in a variety of flavors at a cost of one for $4, 2 for $7, and 3 for $10. They will also have beverages for sale and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Pam Krone Memorial Scholarship Fund. Play hard, be hungry and enjoy the sushi. Thanks, Ian Mindell
