ON-SITE ALTERNATES
ON-SITE ALTERNATES
If you are on the alternate list, you can be an on-site alternate, check in at John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Check in with the referee (Ann Kearbey). If a default or withdrawal creates a vacancy in the draw, the alternate who has signed in and is highest on the alternate list will fill the vacancy.
The order of the alternates is based on the original list published by the tournament.

HEAT
The tournament will start this Saturday June 4th,please be prepared due to the extreme heat the match format could change, a decision will be made daily. Please drink lots of fluids.

REGISTRATION
All players must register for the tournament prior to playing their first match. Registration will take place only at John Drew Smith Tennis Center. Registration hours are Friday, June 3 from 4 - 6:30 PM EST or Saturday, June 4 from 6:45 AM - 5:00 PM ESTat least one hour before scheduled match. After the initial registration, players should check-in at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled match at the assigned site. When a player checks in, it means that they are ready to play.

NEW RULES
When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. Coaching will be allowed on court during this break.
Line calls changed from "out" to "in" no longer result in a let. The player who made the incorrect call now loses the point regardless of their subsequent shot.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES

USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of tournament registration. STRATFORD ACADEMY 6010 Peake Rd. Macon, GA 31220 Take a right on to Northside Dr. Go about 100 yards and take a right on to Riverside Dr. Go 4/10 mile and turn right onto Wimbish Road. Go 1.5 miles, then take a slight left onto Forest Hill Road (Forest Hill Rd is just past North Minster Drive). Go 6/10 of a mile and turn right onto Vineville Ave. Go 1.5 miles, and then turn left onto Tucker Road. Go 2.6 miles and turn right onto Peake Road. Go 4/10 mile, and then turn left into the Academy. You must go all the away around the school to reach the tennis courts parking.

Turn right on College St., travel 1 1/10 miles (five red lights). Turn right on Oglethorpe St., travel 1/10 mile.Take first left into parking lot.

Turn right on Northside Dr. Turn left on Riverside Dr., travel to first red light. Turn right on Arkwright Rd., travel 1/10 mile. Turn right on I-75 South, travel 7 1/2 miles. Turn right on Eisenhower Pkwy., travel 4 6/10 mi. Just after going under the 475 overpass, turn right at the light onto Romeiser Rd. (across from Burger King). At the stop sign, turn right. Follow through the parking lot back to the left and the gym and courts will be on the right side.

PRACTICE COURTS
The only warm up courts is before the 8:00 AM matches begin at all sites. The sites are open by 7:00 AM except John Drew Smith it will open at 6:30 AM.We are using all sites for the tournament.

Criteria for Endorsement USTA Southern Closed Champion
Players must play in the Qualifying in the age division the player wants to be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships. In some instances, players who meet outlined criteria may be waived from the Qualifying and still be endorsed to the USTA Southern Closed Championships.

WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do it online. Click on edit registration, then withdraw or any change to your registration. You will get a confirmation number - KEEP THIS NUMBER! Without the confirmation number you will not have proof that you withdrew.
All Withdrawals after entries close must be sent in writing by E-mail to maconten@bellsouth.net to the attention of Donna Bailey. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency: suspension points will be given to that player. We will be checking if players that withdraw are playing in other tournaments that same week. Players withdrawing within 7 days of the tournament start date will not be refunded the entry fee. No refunds will be issued for withdrawals after 11:59 PM EST on Saturday, May 28, 2011.

GEORGIA LEVEL 1 TOURNAMENT. SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT. This
tournament is open only to junior players whose parents have
established a legal residency in Georgia, hold a current USTA
membership card assigned to Georgia, and who are citizens of the
United States or meet the resident alien requirements for a
national ranking. Boys/Girls 10s MUST play all matches on a 60'
court with a 25 " racket and use low compression balls. Scoring
format for BG18-12: Singles Main draw (2 out of 3 sets); BG10s and
Singles Consolation (2 sets with a 3rd set match tie-break) Doubles
(8 game pro-sets). T-shirts. STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - This is a State
Championship tournament.
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 16, 2011 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
