Notes
1. After the draws are made, please click on the blue "Draws" above
and read the "Player Information" below. Thank you.
2. Because of the size of the draw, matches will be played
indoors and OUTDOORS, at least on the first weekend.
3. If there is no match time shown for Sunday, January 16, it
will be determined after the first weekend and posted as soon as
possible.
4. Because of the new fluorescent lights, the
temperature on the indoor courts is cooler than it used to be.
Having a warm-up suit available is advised.
SPECIAL OFFER: During weekdays between January 3-15, tournament
entrants may make court reservations to try out the indoor courts
by paying a special rate of $10 per person for the guest fee.
(Normally, it's $22, and you have to play with a member.) Call the
Front Desk up to 3 days in advance at 510-226-8500 ext 505 (e.g. on
Friday for Monday).
DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Note: Do NOT rely on GPS, as some of the directions on the Internet
have NOT been updated since the Mission Blvd - Hwy 880 interchange
was completed. Please use these directions:
From highway 880 (going either north or south), exit at Warren Blvd
and go west (towards the Bay). The club is just past the Hyatt
Place Hotel on the right side of Warren, at the corner of Landing
Pkwy. From highway 680, take the southern Mission Blvd exit and go
west (toward the Bay). At Warm Springs Blvd, turn left (south) and
go one block to the stoplight at Warren Ave. Turn right, cross the
railroad tracks (at which there is sometimes a long delay for a
train), and cross over highway 880, where you'll see the Hyatt
Place Hotel, with ClubSport just past it.

4. It is the responsibility of all players to check the draws (see

weekend. If you do not see a time for your match prior to the start

numerous 3 set matches, the tournament stays on schedule fairly
well. The 3 outdoor courts may be used at the Chairman's

used for warm-up if it is not used for matches. Outdoor matches may
be played under lights. Some matches will be played in the EVENING.
(Under extreme circumstances, matches may be played at ClubSport
Pleasanton, if absolutely necessary.)
7. Although 2 of the outdoor courts are available to members to
reserve, if they are open during the tournament, they may be used
by tournament entrants for warm-up. Also, the indoor courts are
available 30 minutes prior to the first matches of the day (8:00 on
the first 3 days and 9:00 on the final Sunday) for warm-up on a
first come first served basis, while the referree sets up the
courts.
8. Matches are the best 2 out of 3 sets, regular scoring, with a
regular 7 point tie-break at six all. Alternative scoring system a
10 point tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set may be used, if
necessary. All events are single elimination.
9. Pro-Penn extra duty balls are used.
10. Snack Bar hours are 9 AM to 4 PM.
11. Pro Shop hours are 10 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, closed

tennis court area.

next door to the club.
15. Many players fill out the online evaluation form after
completing the event. Please go to

Thank you.
ENTRY INFORMATION:
Until we actually make all the draws, we cannot tell how the
schedule of matches will shake out. In other words, we cannot tell
if a flight will only be played on one weekend. So when entering,
you should plan on being available to play both weekends.
If you just have a few hours on one day during which you cannot
play, we can often work around your time constraint. In that case,
send an email to lparker@clubsports.com, listing the starting and
ending times that you are not able to be at the club, and the
reason for the time constraint. If it does not work out and we
cannot put you into the draw, we will either not charge your credit
card or refund (by check) your entry fee a few weeks after the
tournament is finished.
Players may enter at most 1 singles event and 1 doubles event. In
other words, players may enter singles and doubles, or singles and
mixed, but not singles and doubles and mixed, nor mens or womens
doubles and mixed, nor singles or doubles in two divisions (like
3.5 and 4.5).
Draws must have a minimum of 3 entries to be held.
When signing up for doubles, both partners must submit an entry
online.
Draws may be limited (to 24 or 32 depending on the total number of
entrants). According to USTA NorCal regulations, entry is NOT on a
FIRST COME - FIRST SERVED basis. If needed, teams/players will
randomly be pulled out of the largest draws and placed on the
alternate list. If they do not get to play, their entry fee will
either not be charged to their credit card or refunded by check a
few weeks after the tournament is completed.
If a player must withdraw from the tournament before the entry
deadline, it can be done online at the entry website. If a player
must withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline, contact
the Tournament Director at 510-226-8500 ext.516 AND at
lparker@clubsports.com.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
