Medical Release Forms must be completed and signed by the PARENT OR LEGAL GLUARDIAN. Parents, please do not send your child without this form completed. This form must be turned in before or during checkin. Medical Release Form more info

Please check the "Tournament Entry Fee Report" above to make sure your entry fee has been paid. If for some reason, your credit card was not accepted, such as, an expired card, you will have to overnight your fee. Late entries or Selected Alternates overnight your check for $48.88 made payable to Tennis Foundation of Mississippi c/o Ridgeland Tennis Center, 201 A McClellan Drive, Ridgeland, MS 39157. We cannot take credit cards after the initial selection process. YOU MUST OVERNIGHT YOUR FEE. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. It is not about the money, it is about your intent to participate in the tournament..We would hate for someone not to play because you changed your mind at the last minute and another person did not have time to make travel arrangetments. Thank you for your cooperation.

Entry will be based on selection criteria of 56 from the age group of the event and up to 8 from the lower age group who do not get in the first 56, and who are in the top 80 of the Southern standings in the lower age group at the time of selection.

USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using only the results from the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings List (Plublislhed List used for selections) of the division in the order in which players appear on the list.

Players who have a standing in the next younger age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently plublished USTA Southern Combined Standings List of any youngre age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 10000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

Withdrawal BEFORE Sunday 1/17/2010 11:59 pm

Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the left side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Comfirmation" just below "Withdraw". We cannot withdraw you, you must do this your- self.

Withdrawal AFTER Sunday 1/16/2010 11:59 pm

You must fax or email your withdrawal. DO NO CALL TO WITHDRAW. The email is ridgeland tennis @bellsouth.net and the fax is 601-853-9919. You will receive a refund, but it may take 4-6 weeks.

Withdrawal AFTER Sunday 1/23/2010 8:00 am

You must fax or email your withdrawal. Do not call to withdraw. The email is ridgelandteniis@bellsouth.net and the fax is 601-853-9919. You will not receive a refund. (Call 601-853-1115 to verify receipt of fax)

Withdrawal after 1/25 5:00 pm - You must fax or email your withdrawal..Do not call to withdraw. The email is ridgelandtennis@bellsouth.net and the fax is 601-853-9919. You will receive a penalty unless you have a documented medical excuse faxed to us . (call 601-853-1115 to verify receipt of fax)

Defaulting during the tournament:

You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee at Ridgeland Tennis Center. Do not tell anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will be counted as a "No Show". If you are at another site, have the desk worker call the Head Referee for you to speak with him. No telephone withdrawals will be accepted. You must see the Head Referee in person or it will be counted as "NO SHOW" which carries 5 suspension points.

We will not try to contact you by the email address given by TennisLink as this has proven to be unsuccessful. We will only communicate with you by email if you first contact us. ORDERED ALTERNATES REPORT

This is the order alternates will replace any withdrawals originally selected from the Standings List. This report will be posted after selections.

PAYMENT

If you accept a spot, you must overnight your entry fee. Since you were not selected in the initial batch, your credit cards were never processed. We cannot take credit cards after the initial selection process. You must OVERNIGHT YOUR FEE - THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. An Alternate will not be listed as a Competitor until the entry fee has been received. The entry fee is $48.88, made payable to the Tennis Foundation of Mississippi c/o Ridgeland Tennis Center 201 A McClellan Drive Ridgeland, MS 39157.

POINT OF NO RETURN

It is your duty to notify us if you have reached the "point of no return" for travelling. We understand that some of you may not be able to come at a moments notice if a spot opens. Please be courteous and withdraw from the Alternates List if you know you cannot travel. We have to contact Alternates in order, even though it may be the night before the tournament and you are in Kentucky. We cannot know someone's intent until you tell us. As long as you are on the Alternates by Event Report, we assume you can still attend.

LATE ENTRIES

Anyone wanting to enter the tournament after registraion closes, has to email ridgelandtennis@ bellsouth.net. If there are alternates in the division you wish to enter, late entries will go below all other alternates, regardless of standing.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES

Need to report to the correct site for your age division 30 minutes before the start of play and must be present for all starting match times. If there is more than one on-site alternate, and there is an opening we will go by the Ordered Alternate List to make the selection.

All mainidraw matches will be best two out of three sets.

All consolation matches will be best two out of three sets with a tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. The third set tiebreaker will be a match tiebreak played to ten points with a margin of two points.

The consolation will be a full feed-in cnsolation through the quarterfinals.

There will be a playoff for third and fourth place in the main draw.

Saturday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 1 round Consolation

Sunday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 3 rounds Consolation

Monday: 2 rounds Main Draw, 3 rounds Consolation

Weather Delays: We may use short scoring in the Main Draw in order to stay on schedule.

We will be using 17 courts at Ridgeland Tennis Center (201 A McClellan Drive Ridgeland, MS ) . These courts will open at 6:30 am. You must be off the court by 7:30 am

The official tournament ball is Dunlop. We do not have Dunlop balls for sale at the sites. In order to practice with Dunlop balls, you will need to bring your own. All matches will be played on hard courts.

Players are allowed to enter 2 divisions in Southern Level 3 and Bullfrog tournaments with the following guidelines. (This is for selection only you cannot play 2 divisions at one tournament)

1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply will automatically be selected in the older division. They will be removed from the other (younger) age division.

2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the Alternates list for both divisions but would be obligated to the division they first get in from the Alternates list. They would then be removed from the Alternates list in the other age division.

3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the Alternates list of the division they were not selected.

4. Once a player is selected for any one division, no changes can be made. There will be not exceptions to these guidelines. The selection process is very fast and the guidelines will be followed precisely. If you feel you have made an incorrect decision during the entry process, you can edit your registration until the closing date.

In matches without an official on court, players are expected to follow the CODE. If you've never read it, please do so.

The tournament sites use conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA. Players participating in tournaments at these facilities are required to abide by these rules of behavior on and off the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players.

The list below indicates the Facility Behavior Rules:

No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled.

No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh, my God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled.

No use of "freakiing", "frigging", "fricking", or variations of such words either spoken or spelled.

No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court. .

ANYONE FOUND IN VIOLATION OF THESE RULES MAY BE SUBJECT TO A CODE VIOLATION AND RECEIVE SUSPENSION POINTS.

For the Boys:

Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related.

No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline.

Shirts must be worn at all times.

Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones.

Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoffs.

For the Girls:

Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related.

Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones.

The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back.

This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts.

There will be one trainer on site at Ridgeland Tennis Center during matches. By law, trainers are not allowed to distribute medicine. Please bring your own Tylenol, Advil, Sinus medicine, etc.

If you have an injury or illness, we strongly suggest that you see the trainer. IF you need to withdraw due to an injury or illness, the process will be much smoother if we have confirmation from the trainer. Without confirmation, or a written doctor's excuse by Monday at 5:00 pm CST, you may incur suspension points for leaving.

Remember that if you default due to an injury during the tournament, you must see the Head Referee in person or it will count as a "No-Show"

There will be a stringer at various sites during the tournament. If you prefer a certain string, you might consider bringing your own, just in case your type of string is unavailable.

The session will be all LIVE BALL, mostly point play situations. The purpose is to provide the player’s with the opportunity of getting an organized hitting session on the traveling day, that will get them in good rhythm for the start of the tournament on Saturday.
