NTRP Rating Information:
Players may not play below their NTRP level. For example if you are a 4.0 and wish to play with a 3.0, you must play at the 4.0 level or above. All players must have an NTRP Rating to compete. If you do not have a rating, you must self-rate prior to entering. Penalties will be enforced if unrated players enter. Click on the link to go to the area of the USTA NorCal website to learn how to self-rate.

Entry Limitations:
Players may enter a maximum of 2 events and entries are limited to one doubles and one mixed doubles per person. Entries may be in two different NTRP levels, however players entered in two different NTRP levels will only be guaranteed a 30-minute rest period between matches. For example, entries in the Men's 3.5 Doubles and 4.0 Mixed Doubles are allowed, but entries in the 3.5 Men's Doubles and 4.0 Men's Doubles are not allowed.
|
Draw Size & Format:
Draws are limited to 24 entries per event and are single elimination format - there is no consolation - except that all losing semifinalists will compete in a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Should an event receive 3 or 4 entries, the draw format will be a round robin instead of single elimination. **The Tournament Committee reserves the right to accept more than 24 entries in an event if it believes, based on the total entries received for all events, it can reasonably accommodate the additional matches required by exceeding this limit. If more than 24 entries in an event cannot be accommodated, the selection of teams will be made in accordance with the USTA NorCal Adult Tournament Rules.
|
Match Format:
All matches will be the Best of 3 Tiebreak Sets. Regular scoring will be used in all rounds. In sets that reach 6-games all, the standard 7-Point Set Tiebreak procedure will be followed - the Coman Tiebreak Procedure WILL NOT be used.
|
Ball Type:
Matches will be played with three Wilson US Open Extra Duty balls. New balls will be provided if a match goes to a 3rd set.
|
Scheduling Conflicts:
The tournament will use its best efforts to schedule around your conflicts if they are provided before entries close. Please send your scheduling conflicts to Andrea Norman (email address is at the top of this page). Be as specific as possible in your request. For example, let us know the time by which you must be off the court and what time you could play again later in the day.
|
Send Us Your Club Affiliation:
The tournament will use its best efforts to prevent players from the same club from competing against each other in the first round. Please understand that our efforts are limited by the participants who respond to this request. In order for us to attempt to provide this service to our entrants, we need to know your club affiliation. Prior to the entry deadline, please send an email to Andrea Norman (email address is at the top of this page) with your name, USTA number, name of your partner(s), and your club affiliation(s).
|
Withdrawals Prior to Entry Deadline:
