What are the Zone Team Championships?
The top 12 girls and top 12 boys that apply will be accepted automatically. The 12 girls and 12 boys accepted will form two teams of six girls and six boys each. Both teams will travel and compete at the USTA Zone Team Championships. The format is a team round-robin, with a check-in on day one. On days two through four, players will play one singles and one doubles match each day. Day five is singles only.

Why play the U12 Zone Team Championships?
Play on a fun team with your friends from USTA Northern California. You will get to meet and compete against top juniors from all over the Western United States. You will also be able to have the chance to experience on-court coaching, just like in college tennis (each team has its own coach.) You will also have the opportunity to improve your game by attending the information seminars and workshops offered during the Championships.

IS THERE ANY FINANCIAL AID TO PARTCIPATE IN THE ZONE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS?
Yes, there is a Travel Assistance Grant available. If you are approved for the grant you can get up to $250. This grant can only be used for lodging or airfare. Complete the application and fax it back to Summer Verhoeven at (510) 748-7377 or send it to USTA NorCal, Attn: Summer Verhoeven, 1920 North Loop Rd., Alameda, CA 94502.

This a Level 2 tournament and only Northern California players are allowed to be on the team.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
