Ksania Madderom - G18
Emmet and Ksania were given gift bags compliments of Folsom Tennis Shop. We thank all the players and families for displaying great sportsmanship this year. We have the fewest number of sportsmanship issues than we've ever had. I personally thank each and every one of you! It makes our job in running the tournament much easier when we can focus on running the events and not issues or problems. All the best, Chrys Atkinson, Tournament Director
PS - If you did not receive your Sportsmanship Tag or left without receiving your Awards, please email me your address and I'll ship out to you next week.

Doubles will consist of an 8 game pro set with a 10-point tiebreaker at 8 games all throughout the entire tournament. No consolation for doubles - playoff for 3rd/4th.
Players will have a minimum of 30 minutes rest time between doubles matches.
DOUBLES ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Must sign-up for doubles by on-line registration entry close for singles which is June 9, 2011 12 Noon Eastern Time (9AM Western Time). Players will have one additional week past the entry close (June 16, 2011), to designate a doubles partner. If no partner is designated by this deadline the Tournament Committee will randomly pair all individuals into teams. After pairings are made and draw is complete, no changes will be made. If a partner no-shows or withdraws BEFORE play begins in a draw, an alternate will be used (see below).
Players must play doubles in the same age divisions as singles.
Partner requests must be made either at time of entry or via email to Chrys Atkinson, Tournament Director at chrysa@sparetimeinc.com. Put "DOUBLES PARTNER" in the subject line of your email. Body of email must contain your name, division, USTA number, doubles partner name and USTA number if available. Both players must be registered in the tournament and confirm the partner request. No phone calls will be accepted for Doubles Partner designations.
An alternates list for doubles will be managed at the tournament desk on site to fill any no-show, injury withdraws, or late withdraws spots only up until the doubles play begins for the division. Once play has begun in a draw, no changes or additions will be made.
Doubles play will begin on Saturday afternoon. Doubles draws will be available by Friday, July 8, 2011 or sooner.

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
The Zero Tolerance Policy below, along with the USTA Point Penalty System will be strictly enforced. We want everyone to enjoy great competition in a sportsmanlike manner while having a fun tournament. Please respect the game, the rules, our facilities, our staff, and each other.
SPARE TIME ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY
All tournaments run by Spare Time Clubs have a Zero Tolerance policy regarding parents, coaches & spectators displaying or perceived to be displaying inappropriate and disruptive behavior.
If inappropriate behavior is displayed or perceived, the match will be stopped by tournament officials when the parent/coach/spectator displaying inappropriate and disruptive behavior interferes with other spectators or participants of the game. Officials will identify violators for the purpose of removing them from the viewing/game area and possible removal from the facility. Once removed, play will resume. Violators will be reported to the USTA. This inappropriate and disruptive behavior shall include:
~Using obscene or vulgar or gestures in a boisterous manner to anyone at anytime.
~Taunting players, officials or other spectators by means of baiting, ridiculing, threatening physical violence or physical violence.
~Coaching players outside of allowable times.
Violators will be escorted from the facility and not allowed to return until the next day or banned from the entire event, if approved by the tournament committee, club and/or facility management. We are private facilities and reserve the right to refuse entrance to anyone into our facilities.

A NOTE FROM OUR REFEREE
Welcome to all players and thank you for playing. There will be USTA certified officials at all sites. Players are responsible for their matches while on court and if there is a concern or problem that you cannot resolve with your opponent, you must come off court and find an official to help you. You should let an official or the desk know if you have to leave the court for any reason, including a bathroom break. There is a 10-minute authorized rest period between a second and full third set, and a 3-minute authorized rest period between second set and a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of a third. Coaching is permitted during both authorized rest periods, but should be done off-court or at the back fence. The point penalty system will be in effect for lateness and for all inappropriate behavior - we anticipate good sportsmanship from all players and their associated parents, coaches, and spectators. National suspension points will be filed in accordance with the rules for all codes, as well as for pre- and post-match sportsmanship issues for players and their associated spectators.
