Doubles Play
All players planning to play doubles must sign up in person at the Pelham Racquet Club during check in on Friday, July 8th or by the deadline which is Saturday, July 9th at 10:30 am. (Even if you signed up online). We will not be using anything for doubles signed up online. So when you look at doubles prior to the tournament, partners will not be reflected. Doubles play will begin Saturday following the singles and the scoring format is an 8 game pro set with a 7 point match tiebreak at 8 games all. The doubles final will be best 2 out of 3 sets.

Registration
Mandatory check-in for the tournament will be 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm Friday, July 8th at Pelham Racquet Club. If for some reason you can't, please allow plenty of time before your match time on Saturday to check-in and get your packet of information. Please note that our club hours on Fridays are 8:00am-5:00pm. We will be open until 6:00pm for registration only. You will not be able to practice past 5:30.

Please check the competitor's list. We have withdrawn everyone from this list that has let us know. All players that called in their entry after the deadline have been entered into the tournament. 6/9 THURSDAY - Entries close at 10:59 AM Central Time
6/10 FRIDAY - National USTA will send email to all entered players with instructions
6/12 SUNDAY - PRC will email National USTA a list of entered players by 3:00 pm
6/13 MONDAY - After 4 pm Central/ 5 pm Eastern check USTA Jr. Comp Webpage for selection status (if you are not on this list, you are an alternate)
6/14 TUESDAY - Last day to withdraw
6/15 WEDNESDAY - 4:00 pm Central / 5:00 pm Eastern Those who have not withdrawn could be subject to multiple charges
6/16 THURSDAY - Credit cards will be charged and there are no refunds
6/17 FRIDAY - Ordered Alternates List published

Medical Release Form
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this signed release. Please visit the link provided for more information and the medical release form.

Draw Size & Format
SINGLES: 64 draw for boy's division / 64 draw for girl's division. Mandatory FIC played through semis. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th in the main draw. Scoring in the main draw in singles is the best 2 out of 3 tiebreak sets. The consolation draw in singles is the best 2 out of 3, with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.
DOUBLES: 32 draw for boy's and girl's divisions. Doubles is single elimination and the scoring will be an 8 game pro set with a 10 point match tiebreak at 8 games all. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th in doubles.

Schedule of Play
Saturday - 2 rounds main draw, 1 round consolation, 1 round doubles
Sunday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 2 rounds doubles
Monday - 2 rounds main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 1 round doubles
Tuesday - 1 round main draw, 2 rounds consolation, 1 round doubles

Tournament Ball
The official tournament ball is Wilson US Open Ball.

Hospitality
Lunch will be served Saturday and Sunday upstairs at the Pelham Racquet Club for players. There will be a $5 charge for coaches and parents.

Practice Courts - Pelham Racquet Club
Clay courts will be available to tournament players, Friday, July 8th for practice. Once the tournament starts, there will be 5 hard courts available. As the tournament progresses we should have a few clay courts also available. There will be a sign up sheet for practice times at the tournament desk each day. (Each morning before matches begin at 8:00 am, players will be allowed on the clay courts for warm up.)

Alternate Practice Site - Pelham Tennis Center
Pelham Tennis Center has 9 hard courts available for practice. They will be on a first come, first serve basis. Their address is 315 Ball Park Road Pelham, AL 35124.
DIRECTIONS FROM HOST HOTEL COMFORT SUITES: Go west on Hwy 119 to Hwy 31 - Turn left and go approximately 2.5 miles - Look for Go Fourth Homes sign on the right, then take right at the electronic city park sign onto Ball Park Road - Take 1st left and courts are on the right. Approx. 5 minutes.

Stringing
There will be an experienced stringer at Pelham Racquet Club during the tournament. Labor charge if you have your own string is $15.

We do have a fully stocked pro shop at Pelham Racquet Club.

Hotels
Host Hotel is Comfort Suites. 2235 Pelham Parkway, Pelham, AL 35124. 205-982-1999. This is a new hotel and is conveniently located only one exit away (4 miles). The rate is $79 + tax per night. Please use code PRC to get the tournament rate.

Birmingham International Airport
DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORT TO HOST HOTEL: Take ramp (right) onto I-20 (I-59) towards Tuscaloosa/Downtown. At exit 124A take ramp (left) onto I-65 South towards Montgomery. Go 21.4 miles to exit 246 (Hwy 119/Cahaba Valley Road). Turn right and Hotel is along this road. Approx. 25 minutes.
DIRECTIONS FROM AIRPORTTO PELHAM RACQUET CLUB: Same as above and continue on I-65 South towards Montgomery to Exit 242 (Pelham/Helena). Turn left onto Highway 52. The club is 1/2 mile on left at the 3rd traffic light. Approx. 30 minutes.
