PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY
It is the PLAYER’S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME.

MATCH TIME
Play will begin at 8:30 AM, June 12. For 8 & unders, tournaments generally last about an hour and half. For 10 & unders, expect the tournament to last 2 - 2.5 hours depending on the number of participants in the field.

FORMAT & SCORING
8 & Under Division:
Matches will be played on 36 feet long and 18 feet wide court. Best of 3 games. Games are the first to win 7 points wins the game. First to win 2 games is the winner. If game score is 6-6, next point wins game. Change sides after each game. Serve: underhand or overhand serve hit on either side of the box from the baseline. No bounce on the first serve. May drop and hit second serve. Change servers after every 2 points. Spin racket to determine who serves first.
10 & Under Division:
Matches will be played on 60 feet long and 21 feet wide court. Best of 3 sets. Sets are the first to win 4 games. Games are the first to win 4 points. 3rd set is the first to win 7 points. Change sides after each game. Serve: Servie hit diagonally out of the air into service box from baseline. Change servers after every 2 points. Spin racket to determine who serves first.

RANKINGS
10 & Under: There will be no standings for 10 & under. Players will be listed alphabetically at year end.

CORRECT RACKET SIZES MUST BE USED
For 8 & Under: the racquet MUST be 19", 21", or 23". Loaner racquets are available.
For 10 & Under: The racquet MUST be no larger than 25". Loaner racquets are available

BALLS
8 & Under: The low compression RED ball is used.
10 & Under: The low compression ORANGE ball is used.

VOLUNTEERS
There is one volunteer for every court. We recommend to use parents, volunteers, and staff as monitors. Parents are not allowed to monitor the court of their own player.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, June 11, 2010 2:00:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
