Tournament begins on Friday July 2
Due to our entries being down around 20 percent, the tournament will begin on Friday, July 2. Many of our usual participants, still in college, are participating in an ITA event at Michigan. The ITA event was moved up a week on the calendar and has drawn a huge number of our regular college players. Mens and Womens Open Singles will begin on Friday July 2, everything else begins on Saturday or Sunday.

Seeding Information - Email us
Seeding Criterion and Information
All players are individually responsible for providing their own seeding information to the tournament administration, which will be copied to the seeding committee. The committee may not have access to all your information, though we strive to find as much out as is possible about each player. We strive to provide as accurate a seeding process as is possible. If we are not familiar with you, or your past results, it is in your best interests to provide us with as much information as possible. The committee considers all info we have access to, but is not limited to, any of the following sources. The committee considers all sources of information and usually, but not always, places the most weight on the most current results. A past highly ranked player returning form an injury rehab or surgery may be judged a higher seed due to previous results.

Area Hotels
Elysium Tennis has a Plain City mailing address, even though the club is located on the western edge of Dublin, on the northwest edge of Columbus, Ohio. From experience, to get the best deals, it is best to call hotels directly, rather than going through the corporate reservation desk, usually located in another country. The phone numbers are listed for each hotel. Here is a list of the hotels that are closest to the tennis club. They are all located on the I-270 outerbelt or Route 33 on the Northwest side of Columbus, and are within three miles and a five minute drive of the club.

Towels - Please bring
Players - please bring your own towels for use on the court. There are towels available at Elysium for use in the locker rooms, with the deposit of a drivers license, which will be reurned upon return of the towel. Regretfully this is now required due to the loss of hundreds of dollars worth of towels during past tournaments. They were probably all innocently carrried away, but they are expensive to continually replace. Thanks for your understanding.
