Draws and times.
This tournament is scheduled for Friday through Sunday. This is typically not a "huge" tournament so we try and put as many matches on Saturday and Sunday as possible. Any draws with less than 8 players will not begin until Saturday. Draws between 9-16 entries may begin on Friday depending on the draw, but we do try and accommodate out of town players as much as possible.

Special requests for times a child CANNOT play.
If you know your child cannot play at a certain time please e-mail at his link. Calling will only delay you getting any answer. We can accommodate players requests typically if there is a 3-4 hour they cannot play, but not always.

JUNIOR Suspension Points for Failure to Complete a Tournament
The number of players not completing all matches in a tournament is very high. There are numerous withdrawals once the draws are posted, and many walkovers in the consolations. The penalty below is minor. However, those who consistently fail to complete a tournament will understand this is not acceptable. Failure to play a match is not fair to opponents, costly to an opponent, & not good sportsmanship. Because the NCTA realizes the importance of school to the players a school exempt clause is included. (passed by NCTA Board 10/09)
1. After the tournament online deadline, failure for a JUNIOR player to complete a tournament for ANY reason other than retirement during a match due to injury = 1 Point
2. Players may receive 1 point for main draw, 1 point for consolation & 1 point for doubles= 3 points
3. Default No Show & Default Adult Discipline points will remain 5 points
4. Points are accumulative in the Junior Suspension points system
5. A notification letter is sent at 6 points
6. A 3 month suspension will occur when 10 points are reached
• Appeals at 10 points can be made to the grievance chairperson
• Inclusion under Unsportsmanlike Conduct in the junior Suspension points tab
7. To be exempt from the above, a player must notify the TD immediately at the conclusion of
his/her Sunday play that they will be attending school on Monday so will not be participating in
play Monday. TD will e-mail jane@nctennis.com those players who have requested this
exemption. Names to be sent Sunday night.
