RESULTS
ALL MATCH RESULTS ARE UP. UNFORTUNATELY THE MAIN DRAW FINALS AND THE CONSOLATION SEMIS AND FINALS WERE NOT ABLE TO BE PLAYED DUE TO RAIN. MATCHES WERE SCHEDULED TO BE PLAYED ON THE 12 OUTDOOR COURTS AT UGA FOR MONDAY. UNFORTUNATELY, WE COULDN'T SECURE THE 4 INDOOR COURTS FOR THE DAY OR WE WOULD HAVE TRIED TO GO INDOORS AND PLAY. COINS WERE FLIPPED FOR SOME AWARDS. IF YOU WERE IN A MAIN DRAW PLAYOFF OR FINAL AND YOU'D LIKE TO COME BY AND GET YOUR AWARD, PLEASE CONTACT COLE DONLEY AT 706-340-4428.

GA/SC STATE OPEN
Don’t forget to sign up for the GA / SC State Jr. Winter Open by December 17th. The BG 10-14s play in Savannah, GA (703501110) and the BG 16-18s play in Hilton Head, SC (704110310). This tournament is December 27-31st and is a GA Level 2 and a Southern Level 4.

ATHENS COUNTRY CLUB(2700 JEFFERSON RD ATHENS GA 30607) IS THE HOST SITE FOR THE TOURNAMENT. ON THE DRAWS IT WILL BE LISTED AS ACC. COLE DONLEY, TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND DENISE HANSON, HEAD REFEREE WILL BE LOCATED AT THIS SITE.

UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA DAN MAGILL TENNIS COMPLEX
THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA DAN MAGILL TENNIS COMPLEX( 518 D.W. Brooks Dr. UGA Campus, Athens, GA 30602) will host the boys and girls 16's and 18s. It will be listed on the draws as UGA. ALL PLAYERS MUST FILL OUT THE FACILITY USAGE FORM DURING CHECK IN TO BE RELEASED TO PLAY AT UGA. Directions to UGA provided at check in at ACC.

ALTERNATE SITES- JENNINGS MILL COUNTRY CLUB AND OCONEE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL
JENNINGS MILL COUNTRY CLUB(1101 MILL POND CT, BOGART, GA) WILL BE LISTED ON THE DRAWS AS JMCC. OCONEEE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL(2721 Hog Mountain Road,Watkinsville, GA 30677) WILL BE LISTED ON THE DRAWS AS OCHS. DIRECTION SHEETS TO BOTH SITES WILL BE AT ATHENS COUNTRY CLUB AT CHECK IN. These sites will host the boys and girls 10's,12's, and 14's.

MONDAY PARKING AT UGA
ON MONDAY, PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS MUST PARK IN THE PARKING DECK(GARAGE) OPPOSITE THE TENNIS CENTER. IF YOU PARK IN THE PARKING LOT IN FRONT OF THE TENNIS CENTER, YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND/OR TOWED.

UGA- BOYS AND GIRLS 16S AND 18S- FACILITY USAGE FORM

FORMAT & SCORING
All draws will have Full Feed in through Quarters and 3/4 Playoff. Scoring for the main draw will be the best of three sets except Boys and Girls 12s and 10s will play best of three sets with a 10-point match tie-break in lieu of the third set.. Scoring for the Feed In will be the best of three sets with a 10-point match tie-break in lieu of the third set. Alternate scoring, No-AD scoring, or Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set may be used for all matches in the event of inclement weather

SEEDS PUBLISHED-SEEDING CRITERIA
SEEDS ARE PUBLISHED. Block seeding was used for 5-8 seeds. We went off the November 9th southern combined standings list to do the seeds. Consideration was given to players who have a standing in the top 10(southern) in lower age division.
The Bulldog Tournament Seeding Committee will follow the guidelines below issued by USTA Southern, effective January 2009. Seeding is based on the Selection List received from the Southern Tennis Association.
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: Southern Level 3 * Published List used for Selections * tournament start. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

SELECTIONS AND ALTERNATES PUBLISHED!
All selections and alternates are now published. Please check the alternates by event report to see what number alternate you are. If you are an alternate, and decide to sign up for another tournament, please email me(no phone call-need written) confirmation that you are pulling out of this tournament to colcaya@hotmail.com. You will be taken off the alternates list and then free to sign up for any other tournament. Rememeber you cannot sign up for two tournaments so you have to email me that you would like to be taken off the alternates list.

IF YOU HAVEN'T BOOKED YOUR ROOM YET, PLEASE BE ADVISED. FOR FRIDAY NIGHT(11/12), THERE IS UNFORTUNATELY VERY LIMITED AVAILABILTY IN ATHENS FOR HOTEL ROOMS. A LARGE CONFERENCE IS IN TOWN FRIDAY NIGHT AND CHECKING OUT SATURDAY. WE HAVE A BLOCK OF ROOMS AT OUR TOURNAMENT HOST HOTELS: THE HOLIDAY INN, AND THE HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS, LOCATED IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN ATHENS. THE BLOCK HAS A VERY LIMITED AMOUNT LEFT ON FRIDAY NIGHT AND PLENTY OF ROOMS FOR SATURDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHTS. BELOW I HAVE LISTED THE TOURNAMENT HOST HOTEL CONTACT INFO AND ALSO SOME HOTELS THAT YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY IF YOU CAN'T GET IN TO A TOURNAMENT HOST HOTEL ON FRIDAY.

These are our tournament hotels for the weekend. We have negotiated special rates that will only be available to tournament families. ALTERNATE HOTEL CHOICES
These hotels are some we have found that have limited availability for friday night. The Hampton Inn(706-548-9600), the Candlewood Suites(706-548-9663), the Microtel Inn(706-548-5676). If you get closed out of Athens for Friday night, I would recommend Commerce, Ga 20 minutes outside of Athens at the brand new Fairfield Inn(706-336-0066), which is very nice. If you do have to stay outside of Athens on friday night, you can always change hotels on saturday into one of our host hotels.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
The Medical Release Form is required by USTA Southern Section. The Medical Release must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please be sure to provide a telephone number where you can be reachded during the tournament. A signed form is extremely important in the event your child may need emergency medical assistance and you are not at the court site. Please download and bring with you to registration otherwise the form must be completed at registration. No player will be allowed on court without this form. AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the winner, finalist,and third place in all main draw events and winners and finalists in the Feed In consolation round.

TRAINER
There will be a trainer available at the University of Georgia Tennis Center beginning Saturday morning through the completion of matches on Monday.

WITHDRAWALS
Prior to the tournament deadline, all withdrawals are to be made online at the tournament website. After the tournament deadline, withdrawals must be sent in writing by e-mail to colcaya@hotmail.com. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY
Players are allowed to enter two age divisions in Southern L3 tournaments, within these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made

ENTRY VIOLATIONS
Entering two tournaments at the same time is a violation of the USTA rules in the USTA Southern Section, and players may be assessed five (5) junior suspension points for violation of this rule. In "Friend at Court," USTA Tournament Regulation 1 N. 11 & 12 states: 11. "A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. "A player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament. A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action." If a player on the Alternate list wants to enter a different tournament, he/she must withdraw from this tournament before entering another one.

SELECTION PROCESS
Draws will be limited to 32. The top 32 players applying will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28.

RAINED OUT 5 MATCHES ON SUNDAY NIGHT
5 MATCHES GOT RAINED OUT . THEY WILL START FIRST AT 8AM. WE HAVE EXTRA COURTS AT UGA AT 8 SO ALL OTHER 8AM'S ARE EXPECTED TO BE THERE AS WELL. ALL THESE MATCHES ARE IN THEIR SECOND SET OR IN A MATCH TIEBREAKER AND THE WINNER WILL LIKELY TURN AROUND AND PLAY AGAIN WITH A MINIMAL BREAK SO ALL PLAYERS ARE ASKED TO BE AT UGA AT THEIR SCHEDULED TIME mONDAY UNLESS A WEATHER DELAY IS POSTED IN THE MORNING. THIS IS A GEORGIA LEVEL 3 SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP AND A SOUTHERN
LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENT FOR BG 10-18. The BG16-18s will be played at the
University of GA. The BG10-14s will be played at Athens CC. This
tournament is sanctioned Saturday-Monday. Since this tournament has
a Southern Level 3 designation, the tournament is required to
follow Southern requirements. The singles draws are limited to 32,
with a full FIC and 3/4 playoff in the main draw. Scoring format:
Regular scoring in the main draw; short scoring with a 3rd set
match tie-break in the FIC. FIC finals may not be played. T-shirts.
SUPER CHAMPIONSHIPS - Open to all players regardless of
ranking.
