It is the PLAYER’S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner. Check the website often for updated match times. PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TOO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic etc.)

The format is FMLC (First Match Loser Consolation). Main draw and Consolation will play the best-of-three sets playing a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the third set.

The Parent Form and Medical Release is required by USTA/NC prior to playing matches. Parent or guardian must sign. Please click on the link below to print BOTH PAGES of the form. Bring the signed form with you to registration.

If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on “Edit Registration,” then “Withdraw.” You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must both be sent in writing by email (to the Tournament Director’s address above) and by phone to the tournament site. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments.

11. “A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments is scheduled to overlap unless each tournament committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing.”

12. “Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament.”

What if placed on an Alternate List? There are two options:
1. Stay on the Alternate Lists in hope of getting into the tournament.
2. Withdraw from the alternate list so you can legally enter another tournament.

USTA/NC Seeding Criteria

Limited Draws: Boys 12s, 14s, 16s are limited to 32 players each. Boys 10s and 18s are limited to 16 players each. The Tournament Director also reserves the right to allow more players into a division than the entry limit if possible.

Selection Process: The top players applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be selected into the draw. Selections will be posted no later than the Monday after the deadline at 5:00 PM. The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.”

The alternates by event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you realize that you can not participate. It is the alternates’ responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change providing the correct information is on your membership profile. Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.

From Raleigh: I-85S to exit 122 (to Groometown Rd.). Stay on exit ramp for 3.2 miles (follow exit 122A). Right turn onto Groometown Rd. Cross Vandalia. Right turn onto Ailanthus Rd.(into Hester Park) Courts are ahead on right.

From Charlotte: I-85N to exit 119 (Groometown Rd.). Left onto Groometown Rd. Cross Vandalia. Right turn onto Ailanthus Rd.(into Hester Park) Courts are ahead on right.

From Winston-Salem: I-40E to exit 219 (Bus. I-85S). Take exit 33 to Groometown Rd. (exit lasts apprx. 2-3 miles). Right turn onto Groometown Rd. Cross Vandalia. Right turn onto Ailanthus Rd.(into Hester Park) Courts are ahead on right.

From Barber Park: Right turn out of park onto E. Florida St. Right turn onto E. Lee St. Right turn onto Bus. I-85S. Follow BUSINESS I-85 SOUTH towards Charlotte. Take exit 33 to Groometown Rd. (exit lasts apprx. 2-3 miles). Right turn onto Groometown Rd. Cross Vandalia. Right turn onto Ailanthus Rd.(into Hester Park) Courts are ahead on right.

Due to the extreme cold weather this weekend, ALL TOURNAMENT MATCHES WILL BE INDOORS AT BARBER PARK. There are a lot of matches to be played and court space is limited. All match times have been posted for all rounds. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE DRAW AND BE PREPARED TO PLAY AT ANY OF THE TIMES LISTED!!!
