Boys 16's matches will start at 9:30 am
8am matches at Cockrell will start at 9:30am...Other matches at Cockrell need to add 1 1/2 hours to start time.

Querbes and POTC matches scheduled at 8am will now start at 10:30am
Players need to add 2 1/2 hours to start times listed on the draws. If start time on draw is 1pm, then you now play at 3:30pm ...etc...etc. Some girls matches may be moved to Querbes. Girls should still check in at POTC first.

RAIN DELAY
Due to the rain, we will play no matches before 9am. We will update the site at 8am with further information.

Doubles Partners
If you did not register a doubles partner, you will need to email the tournament director at rkvbeach@bellsouth.net with your partner. Any player not sending this information by Wednesday noon will be placed with other players without partners. We do not guarantee partners, but will place as many as possible. If a player did not sign up for doubles, they may NOT enter at this time.

NO FRIDAY PLAY
Sorry...on the schedule its states Friday as the beginning date. We will begin Saturday morning. Sorry for the wrong date on the schedule.

SELECTION PROCESS
Draws will be limited to 32. The top 32 players applying will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28.

FACILITY RULES
Shreveport uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA.
Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players.
The list below indicates the Facility Behavior Rules:
No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled.
No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh My God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled.
No use of "freaking", "frigging", or "fricking" or variations of such words either spoken or spelled.
No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court.
Verbal rules apply to any langu-age. We have officials on sight that are fluent in many langu-ages.
Anyone found in violation of these rules may be subject to a Code Violation and receive suspension points.

PLAYING SURFACES
Girls divisions will be played on soft(clay) courts. Boys divisions will be played on hard courts. Inclement weather may alter this format.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTRY
Players are allowed to enter two age divisions in Southern L3 tournaments, within these guidelines: #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made

ENTRY VIOLATIONS
Entering two tournaments at the same time is a violation of the USTA rules in the USTA Southern Section, and players may be assessed five (5) junior suspension points for violation of this rule. In "Friend at Court," USTA Tournament Regulation 1 N. 11 & 12 states: 11. "A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing." 12. "A player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament. A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action." If a player on the Alternate list wants to enter a different tournament, he/she must withdraw from this tournament before entering another one.

WITHDRAWALS
Prior to the tournament deadline, all withdrawals are to be made online at the tournament website. After the tournament deadline, withdrawals must be sent in writing by e-mail to rkvbeach@bellsouth.net. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

PLAYER CHECK-IN
Check in will be available from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 12, at Querbes Tennis Center. (Registraion will not be availalbe before 5pm.) Players checking in on Friday may go directly to their first match site on Saturday. IF YOU ARE CHEKCING IN ON SATURDAY, YOU MUST CHECK IN AT QUERBES TENNIS CENTER AT LEAST 60 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR FIRST MATCH. Players may proceed directly to all subsequent match sites. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY UNLESS THEY HAVE CHECKED IN FIRST AT QUERBES TENNIS CENTER. Please be sure to have a signed Medical Release with you for check-in. Late entries and alternates who have not paid their entry fee will be required to submit payment prior to their first match. PLAYERS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON COURT IF WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SIGNED MEDICAL RELEASE AND THEIR ENTRY FEE.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
The Medical Release Form is required by USTA Southern Section. The Medical Release must be signed by a parent or guardian. Please be sure to provide a telephone number where you can be reachded during the tournament. A signed form is extremely important in the event your child may need emergency medical assistance and you are not at the court site. Please download and bring with you to registration otherwise the form must be completed at registration. No player will be allowed on court without this form.

SEEDING CRITERIA
The CTA Tournament Seeding Committee will follow the guidelines below issued by USTA Southern, effective January 2009. Seeding is based on the Selection List received from the Southern Tennis Association.
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Definition of Most Recently Published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists: Southern Level 3 * Published List used for Selections * tournament start. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division. Players with current top 50 USTA National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 1000 ATP or WTA rankings should be considered for seeding.

FORMAT & SCORING
FORMAT & SCORING All draws will have Full Feed in through Quarters and 3/4 Playoff. Scoring for the main draw will be the best of three sets except Boys and Girls 12s and 10s will play best of three sets with a 10-point match tie-break in lieu of the third set.. Scoring for the Feed In will be the best of three sets with a 10-point match tie-break in lieu of the third set. Alternate scoring, No-AD scoring, or Match Tiebreak in lieu of the third set may be used for all matches in the event of inclement weather.

DRAWS & MATCH TIMES
Draws and match schedules will be posted online. Throughout the course of the tournament, it is the player's responsibility to verify on-site that their match times/locations are accurate. Schedule changes may be unavoidable due to weather and/or withdrawals.

AWARDS
AWARDS Awards will be presented to the winner, finalist, third place, fourth place in all main draw events and winners and finalists in the Feed In consolation round.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
