HEAT ADVISORY
Due to the HEAT ADVISORY issued for our area, we will us NO ADD SCORING for all singles matches. Regular 8 game pro set scoring will be used for doubles. Extra time will be allowed on changeovers and between matches as necessary. These precautions are being implemented for the safety of the players. PLEASE encourage your child to drink water before, during, and after each match!

QUICKSTART (8 & Under)
Quickstart Tournament will be on Saturday from 8:45am-12pm. Please meet Shane, The Tournamnet Director in the tournament room by 8:45am on Saturday to check in and review format and scoring. We have eight participants for the Quickstart division. Every player will play three matches.

Directions: North Hills Club (NHCC) NHCH)
919-781-0468 Located in North Raleigh. From airport take 540 to Six Forks Rd South. Go about 5-6 miles then take a right onto Northbrook. Then take a right onto Yadkin, the club will be at the top of the hill on the right. From 440, take Six Forks Rd North about 1 mile, take left onto Northbrook then a right onto Yadkin. The club will on your right at the top of the hill.

Directions: Optimist Park (OPT)/Sanderson HS
Sanderson High School (5500 Dixon Dr. Raleigh, 27609) North Raleigh: From 440 take Six Forks Exit. Go 2 miles and take a left on Millbrook heading towards Shelly Lake. After 3/4 mile take a right on Dixon Dr. (At flashing light). Then turn right into Sanderson High School and go to the end of the big parking lot located behind the school. Courts are located at the end of the parking lot.

Player Check IN
All Players must check in at North Hills Club prior to their first match. If you are playing at Optimist please check in at NHC an hour before your first match time. If you are playing at NHC please check in a half hour before your first match time. Please bring medical release forms to check in.

Doubles Draws combined
Due to the limited entires we have combined doubles divisions. We have combined 10's and 12's, 14's and 16's. We will also have B-18's doubles.

Player/Parent Cookout!!
We will have a Player/Parent Cook-Out Saturday, July 24th from 11:30-2:00. Please pick up food tickets from the Tournament Desk on Saturday. The Cook-Out is FREE for all players and parents.

Eligibility for Events
Standings used to determine eligibility for a novice event are the Final Standings from the month proir to the tournament's entry deadline. A PLAYER INELIGIBLE TO PLAY NOVICE IN ANY DIVISION IS INELIGIBLE TO PLAY NOVICE IN ALL DIVISIONS. B/G 10's 1-10, B/G's 12's 1-80, B/G 14's 1-80, B/G's 16's 1-80, B/G's 18's 1-50

Format and Scoring
All singles matches will play 2 out of 3 sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. First Match Consolation Loser (You are guarenteed at least two matches)for singles matches. All doubles matches will play 8-game Pro Set. Single Elimination for all doubles draws. In the event of inclement weather, match format and scoring are subject to change.

Matches could start as early as 12:00pm on Friday depending on draw size.

Parent Education Forum
Required for all 10’s & 12’s playing in Futures tournaments. At least one parent or guardian of a child planning to enter the 10’s or the 12’s of Futures Tournaments, the 2010 Tar Heel Qualifier, and the 2010 North Carolina Junior State Closed must attend one session prior to the deadline of the tournament in order for the their child to be eligible to play in the above tournaments. NC B & G 12's tournament scoring is to be a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set for all sanctioned tournaments.

Quickstart: 8 and Under
All 8 and under Quickstart participants must use 23 inch racquets or smaller (19, 21, 23 inches). We will have loaner racquets available.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, July 19, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
