Detours on roads near CTP
Please be sure to allow extra time (15 min. minimum) on the road to the tennis park, several roads in the area are under construction and have detours

Entrant processing error
Due to a processing error, many players entries were not processed and notification was sent indicating that the players were not accepted.
Please check the competitor list to see if you have been accepted in your respective division. If you are a listed competitor in a division please contact the Cary Tennis Park to process your entry fee at (919)462-2061.

Parking availability limited to (3) designated areas
Please keep in mind you cannot park on the street (Louis Stephens) for any reason. We have 3 lots available main lot, north lot, and schools across the street.

Format and scoring for this event
All matches will be the best of 2 sets with a match tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. Format is First Match Losers Consolation.

From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles.
Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 6.5 miles.
Turn left onto Morrisville Carpenter Road. Go 0.1 miles.
Turn right onto Carpenter-Upchurch Road. Go 1.5 miles.
Turn left onto Louis Stevens Drive. Go 0.8 miles.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park.
From south of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles.
Turn right onto High House Road.
Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).
From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles.
Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles.
Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles.
Turn left onto High House Road.
Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).
From northeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
After reaching I-440 South/Inner Beltline, continue south on this Interstate past exit #16 toward Durham.
Continue with the set of directions above labeled "From southeast of Raleigh", starting at step 1. (Exit #16 is in the same area as exit #301 in those directions.)

Communication with the Tournament Director
Please email all communication to patrick.henson@townofcary.org. This helps provide a paper copy to all concerns, withdrawls, and changes.
The tournament desk phone is (919) 380-4268 and will be activated on the first day of the event at 3:00 pm. All withdrawls must be done by email.

Seeding for the 2010 Cary Summer Championships
Seeds will be based on the most current NC Standing List. Juniors ranked in the top 10 in the lower age group can be elgible for seeding in the lowest seeding grouping.

Medical Release
All Players must bring a signed Medical Release form to the Tournament Desk and Check-In at the Cary Tennis Park

Additional QuickStart Information
QuickStart (8U) is a Saturday 7/10) event only. QuickStart event check-in (go to QuickStart courts) is between 2:00 and 2:15, matches will begin promptly at 2:30 (event will be completed at approx. 4:30)
QuickStart racquet size requirements:
8's= 23 inches or smaller(19, 21, 23 inches).
We have a few loaner racquets available,first come first serve

Player Suspension Points
JUNIOR Suspension Points for Failure to Complete a Tournament
(1) After the tournament online deadline, failure for a JUNIOR player to complete a tournament for ANY reason other than retirement during a match due to injury = 1 Point
(2) Players may receive 1 point for main draw, 1 point for consolation & 1 point for doubles= 3 points
(3) Default No Show & Default Adult Discipline points will remain 5 points
(4) Points are accumulative in the Junior Suspension points system
(5) A notification letter is sent at 6 points
(6) A 3 month suspension will occur when 10 points are reached
• Appeals at 10 points can be made to the grievance chairperson
• Inclusion under Unsportsmanlike Conduct in the junior Suspension points tab
(7) To be exempt from the above, a player must notify the TD immediately at the conclusion of
his/her Sunday play that they will be attending school on Monday so will not be participating in
play Monday. TD will e-mail jane@nctennis.com those players who have requested this
exemption. Names to be sent Sunday night.

Player Check-in
Tournament check-In will be open on Friday, July 9th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturday, July 10th at 7:30am. Players must bring their medical release waiver to their first match and present waiver in checking in for play.

Event is scheduled to begin at 5pm on Friday, JUly 9th, no matches will be scheduled before this time

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, July 4, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
