AMAZING TOURNAMENT-Double Check Scores
Parents, Players, Referees, and Volunteers, thank you for the best flowing tournament ever at the park. Really, the entire weekend went awesomely smooth with the additions of the QUICKSTART 8 and 10 & under divisions. ALso, double check us on correct scoring on your matches. Coach David Lash Sportsmanship Award Winners
Caitlin Beheler and Andrew Redding are our Female and Male Sportsmanship Winners. The process for winning this award was as follows. A player, parent, or spectator may nominated a player he/she saw displaying great sportsmanship characteristics on and off the courts. There was a box at the tournament checkin. You were able to make a note with the player's name and why you feel they should be nominated.

Player's Responsibility To Check Draws
It is the player's responsibility to know their 1st match and future match times and show up in a timely manner. Please, report to Les Myers Park (LMP)) before 1st Round of Play. ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS. Contact the tournament desk ASAP if you are having directional issues (704 806 0909). Withdrawals and defaults MAY occur through out the weekend. Lastly, please FAMILIARIZE yourself with CONSOLATION rules of play. It can be confusing at times. Communication with tournament director is key, so that calm heads prevail during the tournament.

Scoring Format
A. SCORING METHODS ACCEPTED FOR RANKING IN NC
LISTED BELOW ARE THE ONLY FORMATS FOR SCORING ACCEPTED FOR RANKING IN
NC. FOR TOURNAMENTS THAT FAIL TO COMPLY, THE REFEREE AND THE TOURNAMENT
ARE SUBJECT TO SUSPENSION.
FOR PLAYERS WHO COMPETE IN EVENTS/MATCHES THAT FAIL TO MEET THESE
REQUIREMENTS THOSE PLAYERS WILL NOT HAVE THOSE EVENTS/MATCHES INCLUDED
IN THEIR RANKING.
THESE ARE THE ONLY SCORING FORMATS ACCEPTED FOR NC RANKING FOR JUNIORS
4. 8 game pro sets (with set tiebreak played at 8 games all) may be
used for DOUBLES ONLY. IT IS PROHIBITED IN SINGLES.
6. L1, L2, L-3, L-4, L-5 may use short set scoring ONLY when
granted specific permission on a case by case basis by the NCTA in the
event of inclement weather. Use short sets- first to 4 games by 2. Two
out of three tiebreak sets. 7 point, set tiebreak at 4-4. Match Tiebreak
(10 point tiebreak) in lieu of the third set.

Tennis Balls
Wilson US Open Extra Duty balls will be used during the tournament. Two new same numbered balls will be given to the players for each match.

Friday Play
A few of the draws with odd # of 1st rnds will play on Friday afternoon. Matches will not be schedule before 5pm, however, if two opponents checkin in early, they will be allowed to play. Parents and coaches prepare your players for play on Friday. Thank you for the avoidance emails. I will attempt to honor these requests, remind me if there is an error by email.

G12s Doubles WILL PLAY
We need 1 more DOUBLES TEAM in the G12 to make a round robin with 2 matches. Shoot me an email with your usta # and division and I will add to the particualar division. ASAP. These matches could be played Saturday evening. We will play the one match even if we are unable to find another pairing.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 25, 2010 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
