Tournamanet Cancelled :(
ALL TOURNAMENT PLAY IS CANCELLED It is now Sunday 6:45am and we still have some icy spots in the back of the courts. We are unsure if they will melt in time for play so out of a concern for safety we will have to cancel the tournament. My staff and I spent five hours yesterday working to clear the courts but they were still a little damp at the back fence line when we left last night at 8:00pm. This has refrozen and has made conditions unsafe for play. Please see the rainout/weather policy below for detail on refunds and credits. Please send me an e-mail at Michael@sunsethillstennis.com and let me know if you would like a credit toward a future tournament, we have 8 more this year or a refund check. Sorry guys, we hate this more than you but this one was out of our hands.

7:00pm tournament update
Sunday play is on! We have changed the draw for a 10am start. PLEASE RECHECK YOUR DRAW!!!! All match times listed are correct. Some of the later matches in the day may or many not happen after reviewing the rules with GTA. We can only play 3 matches in a day no matter the format. If you see a later match without a time listed that match may or may not happen depending on how the draw develops. We will be using short sets (starting at 2 -2) but will be using regular scoring with a 10 point tiebreak. PLEASE RECHECK HERE BEFORE LEAVING FOR THE COURTS IN THE MORNING.

Court Update 6:00pm
The ice/snow is now off the courts and we are working to dry them before the temps drop below freezing. Sorry for the delay but please check back after 7:00pm for a final decision about Sunday play.

Sunday Schedule
O.K. here is the plan. The new draws are up for Sunday play. We will be using a modified scroing format to make the matches go quicker. All matches will use no-ad scoring, sets will begin at 2-2 (short sets), a 10 point tie-break will be played if you split the sets. This will limit the time each match will take to allow for more play. With this shortened format playes can play up to four matches in a day in accordance with USTA regulations. With all this said we still have ice and snow in the back of our courts where there is some shade from the windscreens. If this does not melt before sundown we MAY have to cancel the tournament. Please check here after 6:00pm for a decision about Sunday play.

Weather Update Friday- 3:30p
No match play before 1:00pm Saturday. All match play has been rescheduled to allow for the snow that is now falling. We are concerned that the courts will not be playable in the morning and have reworked the match schedules to allow us to start in the afternoon on Saturday. PLEASE RECHECK YOUR DRAW. All match times have been updated on the draws, several matches have been moved from Saturday to Sunday. I will post a weather update for Saturday by 10:00am
