DIRECTIONS
Directions to VDM Tennis Center from I-95, take exit 8 (Hilton Head Is) onto Hwy 278. Stay on Hwy 278 onto the island. At the north end of the island, Hwy 278 will fork... take left-hand fork onto the Cross Island Pkwy(Toll Road). Pay the toll and proceed until you reach the Sea Pines traffic circle. Take the second exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light take a right onto Cordillo PKWY. Drive about 200 yards and take a left onto Deallyon Avenue. Drive past the Player's Club Resort entrance and turn right immediately after the Player's Club building.(You will see courts on both the left and right side of Deallyon). Physical address of the main site is: 19 DeAllyon Avenue, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928.

DOUBLES
Please review the report above - Players by Event to make sure we have partnered you up with the correct person. If you do not have a doubles partner, please take a look at the players registered in the singles age division in which you want to play doubles to see which players are still available for doubles. You can contact us to get information on how to reach another player. Some doubles events may begin on Friday afternoon, depending on the size of the draws.

Once on the Island, follow Business 278 East until you reach the
traffic circle. Take the third exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue.
At the second traffic light down Pope Avenue, take a right onto
Cordillo Parkway. About 1/4 mile down Cordillo Parkway, take the
first left onto DeAllyon Drive. The Van Der Meer Tennis Center is
located at the second driveway on the right.

TRAINING SESSIONS
Training sessions at Van Der Meer Tennis will be offered at a discounted rate to all applicants on Thursday, September 16th from 3—6pm and Friday, September 17th from 10am—12pm. Please call 843.785.8388 option 1 to register or for any questions.

MATCH PLAY FORMAT
All maindraw matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set.
All consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set. Consolation is First Match Losers Consolation. We will use best 2 out of 3 sets for the Semis and Finals in the Main draw. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in the main draw. All doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets. The Referee reserves the right to change the scoring in the Main Draw, if we have inclement weather. Play will begin in some draws on Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM. We have to start early because we only have lights on a few courts.

AMENITIES
Breakfast will be provided each day including muffins, bagels, danishes and fruit. Lunch will be provided on Saturday for all players. Discount Cards will be given to each participant for additional discounts from various local restaurants.

DRESS CODE
For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoffs. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

SEEDING
USTA South Carolina Seeding Regulations will be followed: SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA South Carolina Combined Standings Lists (at close of registration) of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. In addition to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 10 of the most recently published USTA SC Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division or in the top 30 of the USTA Southern Combined Standing Lists. Players with current top 50 USTA Southern Standing, top 100 National ranking will be considered for seeding. Out of State players with a Southern standing may be given consideration for seeding.
Doubles teams will be seeded in order of their combined standings. Temas that have the same combined standing shall be seeded in the order of the total number of Ranking points held by each team. Teams wiht current top 50 USTA Southern Standings may be considered for seeding.

POINT PENALTY SYSTEM
USTA Rules and The CODE of CONDUCT govern the tournament competition and participants during the event.

PRACTICE COURTS
Practice courts will be available on Friday at Van Der Meer Tennis Center(13 hard) and Shipyard(4 hard). Courts will be 1st come/1st serve (4 players per court).
Match Play Sites-VDM Tennis Center(VDM)-main site and VDM Shipyard(SHIP)
Practice Sites-Cordillo Courts(3 hard), Hilton Head Middle School (4 hard), and VDM Tennis Center(3 hard). Alll practice courts will be 1st come, 1st serve (4 per court). Directions to all sites will be provided at check-in.

AWARDS
Awards will be presented to winners, finalists, and consolation winners.

BALLS
The official tournament ball is Dunlop.

COURT SURFACE
All matches will be played on Hard Courts.
