There will be a season-ending awards party for all players, parents, and coaches. It will be held at Greenmont Racquet Club on Sat. July 31, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00. Come ready for tennis fun and games. Players may also use the pool. Pizza will be served and awards will be presented.

Currently posted draws are for July 29.

B12s and G12s will play first to 5 games (win by 1). B18s, G18s, B14s, and G14s will play regular sets (tiebreak at 6-6).

There will seven weekly mini-tournaments for Boys and Girls 12 & under, 14 & under, and 18 & under age divisions. Mini-tournaments will be on Thursdays. You must sign up each week by 6:00 p.m. Wednesday to get in that week's tournament. Sign up with your coach at your team site or else by email to movtasummer@att.net. Note: signing up through your team coach may be an earlier deadline than 6:00pm Wed. (follow your team's procedures).

Players will earn points individually and also for their team. You do not have to be on a team to particiapate. Teams participating: City Park, Erickson, Greenmont, Jackson Park, North Hills, and Southwood. Your fees are collected by your team's program. If not on a team, pay $20.00 to the MOVTA for league fees---contact movtasummer@att.net to sign up. Please note the $3.00 entry fee listed above on this website does not apply to this league.

If a player signs up but fails to show up, he/she will lose by default. After the first default, the player will be warned. After the second default, the player will be warned again. After the third default, the player may not play for the rest of the summer (no refunds).

In the event of rain, matches will be cancelled. Please be aware of weather patterns. It may be raining at your house, but not at the tennis site. It may rain in the morning, but courts may be dry by match time. If courts are dry, matches should go on. Check this site for updates during "iffy" weather situations, and we will try to post updates as quickly as possible. If it begins raining during play, completed games will count (if one player reached min 4). Please report all scores!

Standings will be updated weekly and posted at this site. The tennisengine ranking program will be used as a "major guide" for standings--it factors in wins, closeness of scores, strength of opponents, and results against common opponents. [ In some cases MOVTA will override tennisengine calculations due to head-to-head results. This may be necessary due to the nature of the league in that players do not always end up with equal number of matches or strenghths of opponents.] To be eligible for individual standings in a given age division a player must play in at least 3 mini-tournaments in that division. To be eligible for team standings in a division, a team must have at least two players who each play in at least 3 mini-tournaments in that division. Final Awards will be given to the top six individuals and the top team in each division.
