Note about Arlington HS
Arlington High School (ArlHS) may not have restrooms open at the courts on Saturday morning. However, restroom facilities are located nearby. The information was received too late to transfer the matches to another location. Please plan ahead, and we apologize for the inconvenience.

Match Check-in
- Players must check in with the site directors at scheduled first-match sites 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled match times.
- Players do NOT need to come to Arlington Tennis Center before they play their first match unless they are scheduled to play their first match at ATC.
- There is no grace period for lateness. Do not be late!
- When players check in for their first match, they should give the site director a cell phone number at which they can be reached during the tournament (e.g., parent).
- Remember, players must check themselves in for matches (not parents, coaches, etc.).

Withdrawing
Withdrawals are required in writing. Email atc@arlingtontx.gov, and include the following:Name of player

Withdrawals will be reflected on-line through 12:00 PM, Friday, July 9.
- LATE WITHDRAWALS MAY NOT BE POSTED ON-LINE. We will attempt to contact opponents, but we may not be able to do so in every situation, particularly regarding withdrawals late Friday or early Saturday.
- If withdrawing late (after 12:00 PM Friday), please be considerate of opponents and notify ATC in writing AND via phone BEFORE the tournament begins Saturday morning, as email may not be read "instantly" late Friday, early Saturday or once the event starts.
- If withdrawing after 7:00 AM Saturday or once the tournament begins, you MUST email atc@arlingtontx.gov AND call ATC at 817-459-6163 and speak with the Referee. Do not leave a withdrawal message with tournament staff. They will not take your withdrawal information.
- Penalty points for withdrawals are automatic and not at the discretion of the tournament director.

Participant Consent Form
Please print the USTA Texas Participant Consent Form and bring with you to your first match. This signed form is now required, and you must turn it in to the site director before you can participate in the tournament. For minors, the form must be signed by a parent or guardian. No modification of the form is allowed. Thanks for your cooperation!

Eligibility
This tournament is for all non-qualified Texas resident junior players and Championship level junior players who are in their LAST TWO MONTHS of age eligibility. Players may only compete in one ZAT per month. Players may compete in only one event (Singles only). See Junior Know the Rules for more information.

USTA Membership Required
- PLEASE CHECK YOUR USTA Membership information.
- Juniors must list their contact information for each tournament they enter. Privacy restrictions do not allow the information to be downloaded automatically.
- Check that your USTA Membership is current, your address and telephone numbers are correct and that you have listed alternate (work and/or mobile) phone numbers.

Entering the Tournament
- No faxed, phoned, mailed or emailed entries will be accepted.
- All players must enter this event on-line through the USTA's TennisLink registration system.
- Players will receive a confirmation at the end of their on-line registration process.
- All issues with on-line registration should be directed to linkteam@usta.com.
- Junior players should also enter phone numbers and email addresses for each tournament entered (and for each player if more than one child in a family is entered).

Deadline
The deadline for this tournament is Sunday, June 27. No late entries will be accepted. No exceptions will be made regarding the deadline, including for last minute technical issues, out of town travel, etc. Enter NOW to avoid missing the tournament deadline.

Draws and Seeding
- ZATs draw sizes are a maximum of 32 for B&G 12-18s, and 16 for B&G 10s.
- Seeding includes ZAT Standing Lists, Championship Preliminary Ranking List for players who are re-qualifying, entrants report for players who have just aged up and head-to-head records.
- If age divisions have more than one draw (e.g., Red, White, Blue), seeds are distributed evenly throughout the draws.
- Draws are computerized, but an effort will be made to separate players in the first round who are from the same town (when possible).
- Draws will be posted Tuesday, July 6, by 8:00 AM.

Format
- Format for all ZATs in B&G 12-18s is best of three sets, no ad scoring, with a 10-point match tie-break for third set.
- Format for B&G 10s is no ad scoring, 8-game prosets, with a tie-break at 8 games all.
- First Match Loser Consolation is required (no round robins). If you lose your first match, you will play in Consolation. Do not leave the tournament or 'no show' if you lose your first match!
- For B&G 12-18s, players should not come off the court if they split sets. Take a set break, and begin the 10-point match tiebreak.

Applicants and Competitors
- Players who enter on-line will appear on the list of Applicants.
- You should receive a confirmation from TennisLink shortly after you register on line. If you do not, and your name does not appear on the Applicants, CONTACT LINKTEAM@USTA.COM.
- Before the deadline the Applicants is the most up to date and should be used to confirm your entry.
- If you withdraw after the deadline (but before the draws are posted), your name WILL STILL APPEAR on the Applicants list. We cannot remove your name from the Applicants list after the deadline.

Substitutions
Substitutions are not allowed in Singles. Waiting lists are not allowed for ZATs.

Awards
Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and Consolation in each draw for Boys' and Girls' 10-18s. All players in B&G 10s will receive a certificate of participation. One player will also be selected who exhibits outstanding Sportsmanship throughout the tournament, both on and off the court. The Sportsmanship award is a scholarship to attend a camp at John Newcombe's Tennis Ranch.

Players Who Qualify
- Players who qualify may enter the first Championship Major Zone scheduled in the month after qualifying.
- This regulation does not apply to regular tournaments offering a Championship event.
- To enter an "other" tournament (not a Major Zone or Sectionals), entries must be submitted and the entry fee received by the tournament deadline.

Site Information
Matches will be played at Arlington Tennis Center, area high schools, local tennis facilities, clubs and park courts. See the area map for address information. Players and coaches with more than one child participating in the tournament should be prepared for travel between sites and a variance in match times.

Schedule of Play
Play may begin as early as 8:00 AM Saturday, July 10. Play may continue through late Sunday afternoon, July 11. Players should be prepared to play both days.

- Out of consideration for opponents and tournament staff, please do not "no show" or assume play is cancelled. Penalties will apply for no shows.

Officials and PPS
- Susan Wertenberger is the Referee for this tournament.
- All officials for the Arlington Tennis Center ZAT are certified by the USTA Code of Conduct / Point Penalty System will be strictly enforced.
- Remember, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD REGARDING LATENESS, INCLUDING FOR FIRST ROUND MATCHES.
- If you have issues on court than cannot be resolved, GET AN OFFICIAL.

Refunds
- TennisLink will credit the credit card used for registration if the withdrawal is done on line before the deadline.
- Withdrawals cannot be done on line after the deadline.
- Withdrawals after the deadline must be submitted to atc@arlingtontx.gov, with a valid reason specified. The player's name will still appear on the Applicant list (which is locked after the deadline), but will be removed from the Competitor list.
- The tournament staff does not have access to the credit card information used for registration. Refunds after the deadline (and when eligible) will be via check and may take several weeks to receive.
- Refunds are not made for withdrawals one week or less before the start of the tournament.

Racquet Stringing
Arlington Tennis Center's stringing staff is among the most experienced in our area, and we will offer 24-hour service for tournament players during the five-day event. In some cases, stringing may be available on the same day. Cost is $14 for labor (plus string).

Advance Planning
- Alcoholic Beverages: Alcoholic Beverages are prohibited on the property (including the parking lot).
- Cell Phones: Please note that players may NOT use cell phones on court or in the Tournament room. Please turn them OFF. Spectators who use cell phones on the property should be mindful of whether their conversations interfere with tournament play (in which case, they will be asked to leave the area or turn the phone off) or normal business operations of the facility. Thank you for your cooperation.
- Dress Code: We ask that all players and spectators wear traditional attire appropriate for a family tennis environment. All guests (players and spectators) are required to wear shirts (including ladies wearing shirts over sports bras), and no bare stomachs / abdomens. Shorts and skirts should be of an appropriate length, as well. Players who do not dress appropriately will be asked to adjust their attire.
- Pets: Pets are prohibited in the Arlington Tennis Center proshop/building and inside the fenced areas around the courts.
- Smoking: Smoking is prohibited in the Arlington Tennis Center proshop/building & inside the fenced areas around the courts.
- Spectators: We welcome spectators for this event! However, spectators are not allowed on court at any time.
- Videos / Photography: Videotaping or taking photographs by individuals is allowed only for personal use. Videotaping and photography of players other than those for whom the person taking the photograph is responsible (guardian) is prohibited other than by the professional photographer arranged for by Arlington Tennis Center.
- Water: Water coolers are not on placed on courts at Arlington Tennis Center. However, a commercial ice machine and water fountain are located on the west patio. Players and guests are also welcome to purchase bottled water, fountain drinks, sports drinks and juices in the proshop, and players may bring their own water jugs on court.
