All matches will start at 4p or later!
All matches will start at 4p or later. Most likely the tournament will run monday thru wednesday. We may have a few matches on thursday. We have lights, so matches may go late. Bring your homework up to the clubhouse if you are in school. If you are not in school then enjoy your last few days off!
All matches will most likely be played at the Lafayette Tennis Club. When You check for your time, please chack the location. LTC is the Lafayette Tennis Club.

Match format
The Match format for singles is best of three sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set. Doubles will be 8 game pro sets. Novice players format will be First round match loser consolation. All novice players will be guaranteed to have the opportunity to play 2 singles matches. There is a playoff for third and fourth place in all divisions. Please sign up for doubles with a partner before the deadline. Your entry into the doubles is free due to the combined entry fee. If you email the director we will put you on a "looking for a partner" list but cannot guarantee a partner. You and your partner must both sign up with each other before the deadline. Please email us at least 1 week before the deadline or we will not be able to attempt to find a partner for you.

Please only ck the internet for your start time. Phone requests for start times will not be accepted. We will be using 2 sites! The lafayette Tennis Club and Northgate High School. When you ck your draw, NGH is Northgate High and LTC is Lafayette Tennis Club. Make sure to check directly into your site!!!!

Draws are subject to change
All draws are subject to change. Please recheck draws for changes in time and or withdrawals. All changes made within 24 hrs of tournament start will be phoned to the affected parties. Any changes outside of 24hrs will not be communicated to the player. Please recheck your start time on thursday or friday before the tournament. doubles times may change if you were scheduled to play a team with only one player. Remember that both players on a team must sign up for doubles before the deadline. You must have your partners USTA # to do this. Also, doubles players may only play in their same singles age category and division. If you sign up for a novice division and there are no other novice entries, we will put you in the challenger division. Same goes for Challenger to Open. We will only bump you up one division, not two and we will never move you down a division. Also, we may move you up one age category if we do not have enogh entrants in the age division tha you signed up for. No late entries will be accepted.

Contacting the Director and check in
If you need to withdraw from the tournament please email the director at hunterhg@comcast.net. Also, please call the director at 925 368-8882. Please list the players name, age, division and reason for the withdraw. The director will contact you to confirm the withdraw. All players should check in at least 15 minutes before your scheduled match time. Make sure you check in directly to the site that you are assigned. Lateness penalties will be strictly enforced if you check in to the wrong site. You may find this information when you check your start time on the draws. LTC is the Lafayette Tennis Club. NGH is Northgate High School. RDP is Rudgear Park Tennis Courts. The notes below have detailed directions to each site! All sites will be accepting entry fee checks!

Directions to Lafayette Tennis Club, -LTC-
For directions to the Lafayette Tennis Club (3125 Camino Diablo, Lafayette, CA 94549, (925) 937-2582), please use the following link to Yahoo maps --> Off of the 24 take the Pleaseant Hill Rd exit North, rt on Stanley then Right on Camino Diablo. You will see our exit sign first. Keep going and you will hit our entrance sign, then turn right down a steep drive. We are located in a hidden glen. Make sure to allow ample time for traffic. We are located close to the freeway so it is an easy drive for most players.

Directions to Northgate High School, -NGH-
If you are assigned to play at the Northgate High School site, please check in directly to the site 15 minutes before your match. Practice courts may or may not be open. When you check your start time make sure to check the site location. Lateness penalties will be strictly enforced. The address of the courts is 1100 Hutchinson Dr, Walnut Creek, Ca 94598. The tennis courts are on Htchinson dr! Please use the directions below and you will not get lost.
Directions from Ygnacia Valley Rd exit. Take Yggnacio Valley Rd about 2 miles then slight right on Walnut Ave. not Walnut blvd.!!! and then a right on Hutchinson Rd. The courts are on the left hand side. Please park on the school side. If you park on the other side you will receive a parking ticket. Again, the courts are not at the high school address, they are on Hutchinson drive of of Walnut Ave. Please follow the above directions!! The tournament desk is located in front of the tennis courts.

Practice courts
During the tournament no practice courts will be open at the Lafayette Tennis Club. Acalanes High School is a stones throw away from the club and is open to the public. The address is 1200 Pleasant Hill Rd. Take the Pleasant Hill rd exit North and continue on Pleasant Hill until you see the courts on your right hand side. The Lafayette Tennis Club is a 2 minute car ride away.

Dress code
Proper tennis attire is required on the courts at all times. Collared shirts are not required. All running shoes including non marking running shoes ar prohibited. Black soled shoes except for barricades and other tennis shoes are prohibited as well. You will be defaulted if you cannot find a replacement pair of shoes within 15 minutes after your match time. This rule will be strictly enforced, no exceptions. Shorts, skirts or sweats with pockets or some system to hold an extra ball is required. No cuttoff jeans are allowed on the courts. If you look good on the court you will play better!!!

All matches will start at 4pm or later due to school. We have
lighted courts. Come play a tournament at the lovely Lafayette
Tennis Club. We have newly resurfaced courts and operate as a
private club! CONTACT INFORMATION/ ENTRY DEADLINE/ DOUBLES It is
very important to enter your contact information at the time of
sign up. If you have forgotten to do this please withdrawal and
re-enter with this information. If you do not do this then the TD
may not be able to contact you. The entry deadline for this
tournament is very strict. YOU MUST enter before the published
deadline for singles AND doubles. If you do not have your partner's
agreement DO NOT enter with that person. SIMPLY enter the singles
and have your partner enter you as their partner when they sign up.
If you have their agreement then you may access their usta number
on the norcal.usta website. DOUBLES MUST BE IN THE SAME AGE GROUP
AND LEVEL YOU ARE PLAYING SINGLES IN ALL DOUBLES PAIRINGS MUST BE
IN THE SAME AGE GROUP AND LEVEL THAT THE PLAYER IS PLAYING SINGLES
IN. IF ANYONE SIGNS UP IN ERROR AND DOESN'T FOLLOW THE INSRUCTIONS
ABOVE EITHER PLAYER MAY NOT BE ENTERED IN THE DOUBLES EVENT. EVENT
DRAW FORMATS - ALL PLAYERS may play doubles this way they get two
matches if we have enough players for doubles. ALL SINGLES EVENTS
ARE SINGLE ELIMINATION. ALL singles events that have 3 players will
use a ROUND ROBIN format, with 4 entrants there will be 3rd/4th
playoff match for semi-final non-winners. This will be determined
after entries close. All players MUST follow instructions above
regarding doubles before signing up. DELAY INFORMATION The Club
phone is 925 937-2582 and it will have Weather/Delay Information at
least 2 and a half hours ahead of first match times. Please check
the internet first as it will be updated and has easier access.
Players should report directly to the site 30 minutes prior to
their scheduled start time. CONTACTING THE TD/ WITHDRAWALS Before
the actual dates of the tournament please contact the TD by e-mail
(above) if you have any questions. Please submit any withdrawals in
writing first by emailing the TD and then also call the TD phone
number above and leave a message as well. Once the tournament
starts then calling first would be most appropriate. Please leave a
message if there is no answer and then send an email for your own
records. IF ENTRIES HAVE NOT CLOSED YOU CAN WITHDRAWAL YOURSELF
ONLINE WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION NUMBER. YOU CAN ALSO EDIT YOUR OWN
REGISTRATION ONLINE. OPEN, CHALLENGER OR NOVICE/ WHICH ONE TO
ENTER? There is a big difference between signing up for the Open,
Challenger or the Novice. Please check the competitor list before
the deadline to make sure you have signed up correctly, once draws
are published it will be too late to switch. If you need an
immediate response regarding which level to enter please call Jim
Coyne and/or Summer Verhoeven at the USTA Norcal office. The Norcal
number is 510 748-7373. Try asking your coach first. Match Tie
Breaks will be used in lieu of third sets for singles and 8 Game
Pro Set matches will be used in doubles. All pre-tournament
